Sure but then the selection of who gets a prize should also be pure no?

And we’re back full circle on how we decided who’s up next for the codes.

How would you decide who is up?

I'm assuming that our extra votes are just for whoever we vote for. So instead of Abi giving one vote to Steve, she gives 3.

Why are use assuming? Don’t you know?

Ah Jaysus you’re back. Thought you were taking the day off?

Would the negative effects be only if entered incorrectly

Not by the sounds of the OP:
As well as preventing System Failure, inputting the numbers can have other consequences elsewhere, good or bad...depending on your luck

So I guess you could end up losing your vote say or getting blown up

Two people have extra votes tonight. Do we need village consensus on where those votes go?

How about we use them on anyone who said they were a wolf on this thread earlier...?....

@Orla, why didn't you go for inputting the numbers earlier after saying previously that you would?

I came very close to. I had the post written out since about 8 o'clock.

It wasn't worth the aggro. I didn't fancy a day defending myself ad nauseum only to get lynched, turn village and then everyone saying "FFS, what a **** performance, etc...".

I honestly have no idea who to vote for. Not one spidey sense has tingled so far.

Just out of curiosity? why are we all hand waving away Derry being a wolf?

No, and I didn't think to ask.

@Orla. What happened to make you change your mind?

Derry is going to be my default vote unless we get a decent explanation.

No real strong opinions about where I am going to be voting tonight.

But at the moment its looking like being between

Brendan: Suggesting not putting in the numbers

Angus: Finger points Orla yet gives no real explanation other than "she was posting weird stuff last night"

Senan: Absolute bang of wolf off his one and only post so far. But it is only one post

I'm assuming that he was tasking. Now whether he was tasking as a villager or as a wolf remains to be seen I guess

This feels like a reasonable explanation for the moment to be honest. Just reading a lot at the moment, will do a few deep dives once I'm home later.

I get bad vibes. A tasky statement like that and two Anchorman gifs from two random and unrelated players. Something stinks here. Prob do me deep dive here when I can.

Just a thought on the numbers.

If we stop entering the codes, then no more prizes. That includes for the wolf team as well. There will be a point where it would be smart to stop putting the numbers in to minimize the odds of wolves getting anything else.

Your really keen to not put the numbers on aren't you?

Everyone else is all for it, I'm looking at it from the other side.

In the season 2 finale, they did not press it and metal object flew into the hatch because the button caused an electromagnet to be rendered harmless every 108 minutes. The hatch imploded and the sky turned purple. Desmond (the guy that was in the hatch) had a fail safe key that he got from someone that was there before him. He went underground and turned the key and this made it so they did not have to press the button anymore.

The first time the button wasn't pressed by Desmond and this caused the plane to be pulled down to the island and to be ripped apart by the strong electromagnets on separate parts of the island that the swan station computer controlled
    .

So there is a cost to not entering numbers

Maybe in a few days if we don't hit a wolf and then the ratio changes. But at the minute there are 18 goodies and 3 wolves. Not putting in the numbers will hurt the village more than the wolves

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,886 ✭✭✭Mary WW

So there is a Desmond in the cast of characters, would that person encourage us not to press the buttons?

If only there was some sort of source material we could reference to get an idea on what would happen if we didnt input the numbers.

Yeah I get that but I mean you are harping on about it when half your posts are whacking on about entering numbers. It will happen eventually anyway I would say.

What happens in the show if you don't keep the machines numbered up?

The OP says its bad for every body. Village and wolves. But maybe it wont be bad. Maybe its a bluff.
