A clean looking car if the pollen filter housing seal leak was caught early if not corrosion in the wiring under the carpet, they are cars that let water in multiple places, sunroof drains, door carriers if not looked after. They are cars that will do starship mileages if you stay on top of the maintenance, suspension arms, cv joints etc, that is the best engine AVF/AWX too.

They'll chaw through Mick's Garage drives for sport. If you stump up for better quality from the likes of Otto etc they last a lot longer. The knocking suspension arms wasn't as bad in the 5.5 as it was in the earlier model, again quality is king when sourcing replacements. They're still a great car especially for long journeys.

Yep on parts its penny wise pound foolish, poor maintenance is a hallmark of cars in this country so its great when you come across one that has been looked after.
Important on the suspension work that the bushing bolts are tightened with the weight of the car on the suspesion (at its running height).

There were a few different versions of the TTiD, with the later ones being lower tax alright. Badged as TTiD4 I think. This being an 08 the tax looks alright...
TTiD should have a turbo gauge on the dash.

Also just noticed in the last photo he has a message notification from eds car sales in Fermoy! Maybe his new motor is ready, maybe he's a trader?!

The later end ones were more power and cheaper tax too.

€500 too expensive. You'd have to give me the €25 to take it away.

They're not great a great car reliability wise but that looks like a good deal to me.

Body and interior look very tidy. 4 months test and a whisker of tax. Low ish kms, recently serviced with 4 new tyres. You wouldn't get much more for less than what he's asking.

I wouldn't expect all the electric windows to be working though :pac:

Yeah, for the money it'd do fine. If things are still working when you buy it, they will probably hold on for another few!

They were a rubbish car to buy new, but by now most of their issues are either fixed or fixable.

For around 1500 I wouldn't be worrying about colour, it looks to be a lovely car.

It's actually Crystal blue metallic and not that far off silver.

That car looks like a proper bargain and should be good for another 100k miles without any drama.

From my recent experience unless you change the car on existing policy it is (almost) impossible.

Anything under 15 is OK and I know someone who had zero ncb and could easily insure 05-06 for around 1k.

I tried to get a quote on 04 Merc earlier in the year and got zero quotes.

Aviva, Insuremycars, and 123.ie all quoted me for new policies on a 2003 BMW. Went with Aviva in the end

You'll buy them cheaper alright, but thats a nice clean looking one.
It's also the Dynamic model with the 1.2 engine rather than 1.1 and comes with alloys, rev counter, sunroof and a few other extras

No issues, have a 01 Audi A6, insured fully comp, extras like breakdown assist, fill glass cover, fire brigade and legal fees, €510 p.a

With Aviva this year, was AXA last few years.
