Unlikely. The pay off for 'finding' those kind of tablets doesn't really compensate for the cost when they're lost.

Now please excuse me, I've got Jimmy Page on the line

Apple crumble is my all time favourite. The crumblier the better. Piping hot and dallops of cream..

Mrs G is like a Zombie watching recorded episodes of soaps from last night while playing Farmville. See last night I kept her busy with wholesome chat and a bottle of wine. Soaps are such a waste of life it you feel that you must watch them to the detriment of other things. Grim, so I've left her to it. In other news, Ms G went for an outdoor Pizza with a friend. First experience since last year due to you know what. She's home now and delighted with herself. I'm delighted too that she has some semblance of normal in the current situation that I take very seriously. She started PP school two weeks ago and sometimes is a nervous wreck due to seeing stupid stuff in school. Covid is already in a PP school in the county, but I try to keep the weekends as a fun and chill out time.

What I don't tell her is the fact that my adventure to London at the start of the year and my new friendships that I made have resulted in hearing about 1 death from the gang I worked with. Never posted anywhere about it until now. I arrived back here in March on what was meant to be a visit and it's been a surreal journey since then. Still here. One former colleague in Ireland got Covid and was in hospital. He's still unfit for work despite no work available for him. I'm on standby for subbie work, but not much happening. Trying a new start up, but appreciate that it will be slow.

So overall in the G house, it's been a mix of financial reality, close links to a covid case/death and just trying to chin up and get on with stuff. My posts are mostly happy about food and beer and days out, but seriously lads once my daughter is looked after and is happy, I treat myself to days like today really reflecting on the changes that have been seen in my life.

Sorry to hear about your friend's death, G, I hope the second recovers.

I'm having a lazy night to finish off my lazy day, it was lovely outside today.

I went for an outdoor pizza this evening too G!!! Milanos, Baggot St Bridge, outdoor tables overlooking the canal, lots of chilled mellow people about; it was lovely. Cool dry early autumn weather, pizza and beer with a good old friend who's unexpectedly come into her own both career and personal life wise (at age 50) over the past few months. We all know that life is just not fair, so it really is extra cool when good things happen to good people when you don't expect them to.

Back homeside now, tired. Thinking about a planned walk in Wicklow tomorrow. And health and luck and what I can do / what's in my control over next few months. Also thinking about minature-sheepdoodles, whose existence I just discovered. Seriously. I might die :)

The lad here in Ireland got over the worst of it, but is still struggling. I posted about him and chatting to his missus a few months ago. But thankfully He's at home with his wife and family.

I'm really trying to let Ms G out beyond the school setting. I'm in a fairly rural area but you never know. I'd give up my limited social life if she can have a small one. I worry about her and feel so very sorry about her. But still like to keep an eye on it all the same. I'm neither a tinfoil hat Covid type or a lockdown forever type. Just trying to do some easy common sense so all can get on with things.

Think a lot of us reflect , and appreciate that once our family/friends are ok , that's all that matters in these weird times .

Didnt realise that toothless cats are a thing now.

Is that due dental intervention rather than nature ?

You actual 1950's and 1960's cats were well toothed into old age

Couchside, chilled out after a delicious warm chicken salad.

Long drive tomorrow down to Cork for the funeral of the mother of an old friend on Monday.

We had a dog when I was a child who, by the time she was an OAP dog had lost most of her teeth. Her tongue ended up hanging out the side of her mouth in later years because there were no teeth to keep her tongue in.
We probably should have enquired about doggie dentures for the poor old girl.
