Does Kimi have some magical powers of telepathy to force off the car directly in front of him? 2nd time in 2 weeks that's happened.

10 second stop go - wow

Literally have no idea who is going to win this race for once!

That image of the car buckling on the crane is just a metaphor for ferrari this year :(

Given this all happened at Monza could be p45 time for Binotto

That penalty means Hamilton is out of the race pretty much.

Hope we get a first time winner now. Saints or Gasly would be nice.

Are you allowed change tyres under red flag?

Edit: According to SKY the answer is yes.

Lando looking at a penalty now, driving too slow to try create a gap for the double pit stop.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,757 ✭✭✭Charlie-Bravo

Fair play. Hamilton and his team have rightly messed up. Penalty is due and fair.

The Sky lads are still trying to excuse Hamilton. Yet practically every other driver didn't pit. Laughable.

Lads all this drama nearly makes up for the boredom of the last 7 races!

Not a chance, he'll run out of talent somewhere between now and then.

Would be gas if Stroll won

Would love to see Sainz win this.

Alpha Tauri made a mistake , they should have left Kyvat out on his hard tires for the first safety car , they would have had both him and Gasly in the top 5 .

This has made this a very interesting Race .

    Oh please
Nowhere near a fan of his, but I agree there should be light on the right hand side of the track if not necessarily the pit lane entrance.
He was let down my his pit wall/engineers who didn't inform him the pit lane was closed.

Something every other team (bar Alfa) told their drivers.

What's the procedure for race restart? Safety car?

Looks like they are trying to change parts on Bottas' car - have they tried changing the driver?:pac:

Line up on grid in the same position as when the red flag was called

One lap behind the safety car and rolling restart. The grid lights are only used if the race was started behind the safety car.

    This too shall pass.

It's a safety car restart. Hamilton won't be able to do his stop/go until the safety car comes in.

    In-running betting:

    Hamilton 4/1
    Bottas 6/1
    Sainz 33/1
    Max 40/1
    Lando 80/1

You can't really have much sympathy when the vast majority of teams were clued in - the sign came on at the same time as the safety car was sent out.

I do think the last two lights are not in the best position, but honestly what could he have done if in his own words there was one on the entrance to the pit lane?

He has been to see the stewards, another reason why he isn't liked by as many as like him. He was praising the team earlier on about all the unseen work that goes unnoticed by many - time to suck it up and blame the team for this.

Unless Mercedes try to use him as a roadblock to let Hamilton open a gap. It has happened before when Ocon drove for Force India...It'll be interesting.

Nah, not really, come on, maybe Crofty trying to climb on glass a bit, but it was a slamdunk. Two red light, but most importantly, his engineer dropped it - he should've been told to stay out.

More worryingly, the fact the penalty for Giovinazzi was a quick deal while they had to think about it for Hamilton, once again, leaves the usual suspicions in the air.

Would love if Hamilton with all his prancing around the FIA offices in the paddock somehow misses the restart.
