Nearly done with RTE showing the original Roots Series on record. Last episodes tonight. I'm now dug into the movie Zulu from 1964 on Youtube. A lovely Cinemascope upload that may only last a few days, but a lovely watch despite the content. This was what filmmaking was about before the Marvel BS.

I walked into my father's room this evening to look upon his possessions and reflect. I find it therapeutic to remind myself daily of him as opposed to turning away and receiving a sharp shock later. Before I left the room, I noticed his mobile phone was plugged into the wall charger (my brother must have done so before he left). I picked up the phone and observed an alert on the screen: "the temperature of this device is too low to receive charge". The symbolic message wasn't lost on me, there seemed to be a symmetry beyond coincidence; it was time to let the phone go, being his and his alone. I opened the top bedside drawer, gently placed the phone inside among other key belongings and took a final pause before closing it. The heart weighs heavy but I must do the right thing.

My heart is heavy just reading that Bertie. Beautifully written. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have a sore bum from riding all weekend.
    Motorbike riding.

I also suffer from this but I got it from an exercise bike with a nasty saddle. Nowhere near as much fun.

If you keep this up you be stuffed, basted and cooked until your juices run clear on the day-that-shan't-be-mentioned.

What weight are you? For cooking timing like.

I hate myself, I won't hold a grudge if Grem bans me.
