It really needs to be subsidised or something at least, 5 euro for the day seems about right.

Vested interests at play. Car parks are big business.

Does nobody check these things out before signing their work contracts? I.e. no car parking will be facilitated. My ma works in a town and no car parking is provided either? It was no secret on starting.

I last had a parking space 20 years ago, twas nice at the time :D

Last time they tried to bring in a tax for those receiving free parking spaces by their employer it was blown out of the water to so speak as it would have applied to civil servants also.

The tens of thousands of people dying in the hospitals..............

    oh wait that was Italy
It is obviously hugely variable, there are still tonnes of people in hospitals.
I know a nurse in james hospital who works in a ward with people who are immuno compromised, it seems like a bloody nightmare, serious amount of PPE her face and her hands are in absolute bits and they are extremely paranoid about bringing covid in, if it gets in they could lose everyone.

She is brilliant btw such a warm, intelligent and hard working person, a real good egg.

A friend of mine is a doctor in South Korea. She gets free rent if she works 30+ hours in the hospital. 1 bed apartment on the hospital grounds. So, easy walk to work.

Taxpayer paying for city centre car parking means less money for direct medical care i.e. saving lives.
