Honestly I find this quite odd, Peter Moore was a very good look for the club, he didn't put a foot wrong and was absolutely fantastic as a face for the club too, he said and did everything right

Must be something going on in the back ground or something because with the success we have had while he has been here it just seems odd he is all of a sudden leaving.

    two incidents that stand out

    the Furlough debacle

trying to shut down local clothing labels with the trademark of the word "Liverpool"(whilst wearing items from these small indipendent retails)

he wont be mised by many in Liverpool

maybe the #LFCFamily on twitter who havent a clue will miss him

As you said he's done a good job, people like him are head hunted all the time for bigger jobs. That's all it is, he got a better job offer

Didn't we sign the United commercial director or something a few weeks ago?

I assume the writing was on the wall from there...

His family are based in the US also so they reckon he is probably retiring to spend more time with them...

He reacted to the Furlough debacle greatly and appropriately which can't be said about a lot of other clubs and as for trademarking the word Liverpool, he was not doing it to close any small independent retailers, he was doing it to prevent the huge amount of knock offs you see in other countries that make there way over to the UK which is right as that money could be used by the club and not some owner of a sweat shop

His reaction to the likes of Sean Cox was absolutely outstanding and he was a true Liverpool fan

Cannot be a coincidence that the 3 years he was with us we got the the CL final twice and won the Prem, CL and all the other trophies. We are also one of the best run clubs financially in the entire league for sustainability

Both Hogans, and FSG's statements about it refer to Moore and his family moving to the US, so I'm guessing it was perhaps driven by he and his family wanting to move, or else a job in the US big enough to steal him which they've not mentioned.

Seems like he had a three year contract and FSG have decided not to renew it..

    Very strange indeed:confused:

Its possible they spoke and he didn't want a new one or even possible he knew it would be just a 3 year thing,
Very hard to speculate could be any number of reasons

Same as players letting a contract run down. Might have another big role eyed up. He wont be short of work thats for sure!

Clive Tyldesley stats for Liverpool 19/20 which he sent to Carra, not sure if they'll be of any interest to anyone in here but I'll throw it in all the same.

Pretty clear that he wants to get back home, apart from 3 year contract at Liverpool he has lived in the USA for many years. Billy Hogan has been moving up the ranks since he joined, maybe that was always the long term plan for FSG

Like the ones openly discussed on this very forum and in this thread (possibly not this actual thread but previous versions of same)?

Just came across the very end PL years 13/14 when flicking around. I'll say straight away I dont like Rodgers and have said as much plenty of times. But what do people reckon things would be like now if one result had been different then and the league was won? Would things have gone the very same and he'd have ended up sacked anyway or would he still be in the job?

Personally Im fine with how it turned out and Klopp being the man to win it ( and the CL) .

Does anyone know what the timeframe for new editons of PL years is?presumably with all the downtime they had the first 31 game weeks of the season done during lockdown.

I think he would have been given the benefit of the doubt or more leeway or however you want to put it having been the manager who finally won the league for us.

In turn, Klopp might have gone elsewhere in the mean time & that team would be dominating like we are right now, I dread the thought that it would have been another Premier League club.

As sickened as I was when we lost it in 13/14 I wouldn't change it for the world.

even that year as good as we were we were still a stepping stone for players like Suarez, imagine having to worry about Salah, VVD, Mane, etc... knowing there's always going to be that negative aspect of your players performing well, fcuk that ****, a stepping stone we are no more & now it's world class players that want to come to us.

The Butterfly Effect is an amazing is an amazing concept & I believe had it not happened the way it did we wouldn't be anywhere close to where we are now both on the pitch as a team & off the pitch as a club.

I haven't a clue regarding your second question, sorry.

Id say it would have ended the same way and Liverpool would have actually looked worse, Rodgers was not a good coach, he just had one of the best Strikers in history pulling him nearly to a premier league title in Suarez. He also had a peak Sturridge and Countinho aswell as the ends of Gerrard, whom btw he was the reason really Gerrard left when he did even though he surely could have done a Milner job of being a great leader in the dressing room and only playing when needed.

We would have been Premier League champions with Borini, Ballotelli and Lambert as our strikers......

have to agree losing in 2014 with the benefit of hindsight was the best thing that could have happened to us but for Stevie's slip we could have Klopp at Utd winning Champions leagues and Stevie G at the helm at our place doing a Lampard

Good luck convincing 2014 Gimli2112 of that!

Can’t see myself getting behind the new CEO unless he has a halo tattoo.

No I do agree Gimli2014 would not be convinced but it is somewhat ironic the Gerrard slip lauded as it is has turned out to be the catalyst for our English, European and dare I say World domination.

City signing Nathan Ake is an attempt to find their ''Virgil'' , as was United signing McGuire .
But there's only one Virgil van Dijk
    One Virgil van Dijk
There's only one Virgil van Dijk

reading it, i'm amazed Ox had 30 premiership appearances. I didnt think he played that many games (start or sub)?~

Also interesting to see hes our 4th top scorer of the season with 8.

Listening to a pod this morning and they were saying Jose doesn't fancy Sessegnon and Spurs could shift him on.

If there is truth to that it I wouldn't mind seeing a bid for him. Cover for left back and left wing right there and only 20 so years to develop under Klopp.
