Eamon Ryan isnt mentally competent to hold a ministerial job.

Rambling about planting seeds during a pandemic.
Public lands for housing even though theres not enough public land to satisfy demand.
    Falling asleep.
Downplaying the arrival of tourists from Covid 19 hotspots.
Planning to quadruple carbon tax by 2030.
Bringing in rubbish to the dail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5zkwkFPzHc

He never regained his credibility after selling out the people Rossport back in the day, imo. At least he was less senile back then though, to be fair.

He has brought the Greens from worst election results to a constant increase over the last few election to finally the best election result ever

Yet people sitting on a forum are suggesting he isn’t “mentally competent”

Your “list” isn’t correct by the way

Tbf, we are selling off public land all the time.

What I did on my summer holidays like about the Greens is all the people leaving, giving out and not voting as they're told. It shows some of them have a line they won't cross and ethics.
The only time a member of FF/FG leaves is if they get caught on the take or doing something shifty. And even after getting the boot they'll only support their former party for goodies.

Yes people in Greens, FF and FG can have their own opinion and vote against bills

That’s politics at work. Not the same in other parties is it?

Does he still want to bring in wolves and rewild the country (i.e. get rural people out)? Guess it'd only be safe if there's wolves and bears roaming.

    You have two option
    1. Read what he actually said
    2. Or most like most on here, read a headline and couldn’t actually read the rest

I think that he wanted to reintroduce them to Leitrim. God knows why. Obviously the right thing to do in his world!

    Third option?

    3. Have a sense of humour.

Asked did he support the reintroduction of wolves, Mr Ryan said: “I think yes. Bring back a sense of wildness. Bring back a balance of ecology in the the sense that those wolves would prey on deer that are holding back forestry at the present time.

So yes, he explicity said he wanted to bring in wolves

But what about the Leitrim chickens and sheep. Wolves have to eat, you know.

I think we need to ensure that wherever possible, the wolves have the option of meat-flavor substitute soy products like ImpossibleBurger etc

Go veggie?? Couldn't have that. The wolves would have no energy. You'd find them asleep all over the shop, middle of roads, on park benches etc. Might scare the tourists away from Leitrim.

I am not saying he didn't say to reintroduce Wolves. But it was in the middle of a conversation. I always find it best to actually find out the context the person is talking about. Do you no think so?

    https://extra.ie/2020/01/18/news/politics/eamon-ryan-restates-his-wish-to-see-wolves-reintroduced-into-ireland-in-his-lifetime

When asked if he would like to see wolves reintroduced to Ireland in his lifetime, Mr Ryan told Extra.ie: ‘Yeah, but first things first, we have to restore our peatlands. We have to build up a native and natural forest.
‘Currently we have a forestry model which is plantations, which is short of wildlife. It is going to take 40 to 50 years, forestry takes time. It is that sort of time frame not in the political time frame that it might happen in’, Eamon Ryan added.

So what he says we could reintroduce Wolves if we have forest etc that would be able to provide for the wolves. SO the Leitrim chickens and sheep would have no risk:-)

At the moment the biggest risk to Sheep is household dogs who kills hundred of sheep every year in Ireland. I don't hear anyone here asking to ban dogs?

... So in the context of whether or not he wants wolves in Ireland, the answer is yes. Ok then. Not sure what you're arguing tbh.

Let me guess though, you'll argue over his gaffs on rural people and cars too? He meant it but he didn't really but he did...

It was precisely what he actually said and was part of the Greens motion on national land use plan. Somebody didn’t just come out with it and ask him his thoughts on it. Seems you are the one that hasn’t read the rest.

“Bring back a sense of wildness“

What an absolute clown. Has he ever been outside Ranelagh and taken a look around Ireland?

The Green Party are about as popular as a fart in a Mini with rural folks. I think Ryan is actually a decent sort who gets that running a country during a crisis is actually very difficult, but, like SF, his party is filled with absolute headbangers and gobshítes.

Can see a big split in the Greens very soon. Some sort of Socialist Green movement full of big ideas and gobby crusties trying to sell the idea of utopia to young people.

We might have a FF/SF government sooner than you think.

Green Party members consider the enslavement of animals wrong. All dogs and cats should be set free.

One of their junior Minister's has become a dissident as of last night, poor Eamon has no leadership qualities.

Bans your man from speaking then for eight weeks hours before a six week holiday, jokeshop of a party.

Hey, it's no problem if you want to say he didn't.

It's not like you're going to tarnish your online reputation or anything like that.
