expecting Andy Gray & his mate to come out with some nonsense tomorrow that Salah cutting his hair is a sign he's ready for change & will be leaving Liverpool.

I hope I am wrong but I would not be surprised if 1 of the 3 leave this summer with a signing of an out and out striker

    Enjoy lads :)

    "Hello! Hello! Here we go!"

"You never know, you never know with Liverpool".

it's such a shame that man lost his job, a disgrace really.

especially given the commentators we're stuck with with.

Think we should chip in and buy him a bigger TV.

Liverpool, the Reds of Merseyside come in at 6th in the list. With a global following of over a 100 million fans worldwide and a club value of £1.167 billion, Liverpool are the most successful club in English football, which can account for a lot of their global reach.

100 million fans. If only 27% of us contribute just €1 each then we can go & buy Thiago ourselves.

I'm happy to start a Go Fund Me here if anybody thinks it would be a good idea.

Brewster is doing all he can do for them anyway that's 11 in 22 for him.

He looks on it. One touch finishing for a good few of his goals. I’m really excited about him.
I’d still loan him out to a premier league team that he would be certain to start

None of them are going anywhere. No one can afford them
We have the best manager and are going from strength to strength.
Madrid and Barca are the only teams that they could possible join and both don’t have 150 million spare to spend .

Keep him and loan him in January if it appears he is surplus come the new year (could be out of two or three cups by then ;) )

Could you imagine club owners if that sort of thing worked and caught on.

I watched the game and he didn't do much. To be honest, Swansea as a team did sod all. Brewster had a chance very early on as a one on one (called offside correctly) but he didn't play to the whistle and tried to dink the keeper. Poor effort.

Brentford are a lovely football side. Some great players with a very good back line except for the keeper who looks a bag of nerves and hoofs it out when it's passed back to him. As a team they hunt as a pack. 5 players in the opposition half on attack. They play the pressing game. Swansea even when chasing barely had 2 at times in opposition half on attack. It was a very fair result.

Over took City too, without shady dealings.

Trent runs away with YPOTY, as he fully deserves to, wouldn't be surprised if he finished top 5 in the full POTY voting this year either. Still think players like Grealish (25 in a few weeks) are too old for this award.

21 should be the maximum age to entitle you to win it. Sterling won it at 23 didn't he?

...I can’t see how this is true unless you consider charity shields as a measure of success

Charity/Community shield I believe isn't a recognized game as it had 6 subs and goes straight to pens (i.e. no extra time). Domestic suspensions don't count, so you can still play in it. The trophy used to be shared at one point if it ended in a draw.

If your playing in the Community Shield, then you want your team to win it. But it's a competitive friendly at most.

According to that Utd were treble our brand value 10 years ago. Nothing between us now. Huge fall from grace for Utd, and a massive rise from Liverpool.

Arsenal have fallen off a cliff, and will continue to do so I'd imagine.

Maybe it only considers domestic trophies, we would have 9 EU Titles and are current Champions of the World.

my bad, I didn't even notice that part tbh.

I just copied & pasted the answer for our number of fans for the sake of my post.

maybe it's as Gimli said above?

I've edited it of course as we are the most successful team in England :)

You'll always get told the Uefa super cup is the equivalent of the community shield but it really isn't give you have to win a major European trophy to play in it. Similar with the Club World Cup.

The community shield is an invitational game. You don't actually have to win anything to be in it, it's just that they invite the league and Cup winners usually. Leeds were going to be invited if the cup winners couldn't play it this summer. May as well count Audi cups and the Screensports super cup as count them.

Shame both clubs do actually count it on their honours list though :D

I'd be counting second division titles as honours before charity shields personally, particularly shared ones. But neither are major honours.

    For me it's really only:

    Top Flight Title
    FA Cup
    League Cup
    European Cup
    UEFA Cup
    Cup Winner's Cup

that are the major titles, followed by:

    World Club Cup
    European Super Cup
    Intercontinental Cup

    Followed by:

    Lower league titles
    Charity Shield wins

    And at the very bottom:

    Inter Toto Cup
    Charity Shield 'shared'
    Football League Super Cup
    Any other tinpot

Listed Domestic first then International, so 2 sets of 3, in order within their set of 3, poorly laid out I know!

Ake 41m to City, I like him or I did until he scored against us years ago to win after we were 3-1 up, but seems a lot of money for a centre back in one of the leakiest defences in the league. Would seriously rather Dejan than him.

City don't care about cost, the Emirates seem to sporadically increases football's largest sponsorship agreement.

I always get a kick out of a clip I saw of 2 City execs laughing over the price we paid for VVD
