What gear are Ballygunner in ?

Sounding like there very strong once again but Tallow have been weak for a number of years and lucky to be still senior

they're in black and red jerseys with black shorts

Anybody else find the stream a little choppy with frames? Not a deal breaker but just a bit annoying.

Sounded like Ballygunner up the gears in the 2nd half

    FT- Ballygunner 2-22(28)- Tallow 0-9

Mine was perfect to be fair. Gunners just in a different league to Tallow, bringing on players like Mikey Mahony, Conor Power & Harley Barnes, they’re just on a different level in terms of strength in depth

A fairly poor game to start off with. Tallow looked woeful, hard to blame them but Ballygunner just on a different level. Hopefully Ballysaggart give DLS a better go of it tomorrow. Thought the stream was fine, frame rate a little choppy but only hiccuped a couple of times for me.

twill be an interesting game to see Ballysaggart's 1st game senior and see if DLS are progressing hopefully to give BG a run for their money

Ballygunner Intermediates beaten 3-16-2-16 by Ballyduff Lower in the Eastern Championship

Are both Intermediate championships straight knockout ?

The stream is excellent but it's only when you have the picture do you realise how little connection there is between what Kieran O Connor says and what has happened in the match. Consistently naming the wrong player.

Ballysaggart seem to be struggling with the pace of senior hurling

Did Stephen Bennett score the whole 1-2 in the first half ?

1-19-1-13 win for Mount Sion over Clonea

All square with under two minutes of normal time left. Mount Sion had been cruising but a late surge by Clonea saw them claw it back. Stephen Roche stepped up with 1-1 in closing stages I'm sure to put distance between them. Mount Sion lost Eoin Wheelan to a red card after the half time whistle had gone so Clonea had the wind and spare man for the second half.
Austin scored some nice long range points and sidelines. Billy Power from the county panel will rue some bad wides near the end which could have kept pressure on Mount Sion.

Big win for Fourmile after some bad seasons!

Fourmilewater surprised me with the quality of their performance. They had some new players (to me, anyway) who showed up well – a couple of Walshes and the young Ryan lad who gave an exhibition of free-taking and could play a bit too.

However, it was really the Barron show with Jamie hitting six and Tom three points. I was a little surprised to see Tom positioned at corner forward, but Jamie kept targetting him and when he did get possession he was unstoppable. Waterford fans – and Liam Cahill – will have been encouraged to see Tom, Dessie Hutchinson and Jack Fagan all showing up well over the weekend.

Shane McNulty gave an exhibition for De La Salle. His extended spell in the county first team has really boosted his confidence. Young Reuben O’Halloran looked a prospect at corner forward for DLS, especially in the first half. DLS are physically stronger than Ballygunner and could cause them trouble if they can bring that advantage to bear.

Clonea probably should have beaten Mount Sion but had some terrible misses just after they equalised. Billy Power had a nightmare game on that front. Clonea have some big strong players but with most of them also playing football they will probably never be a hurling force. Jason Gleeson had some impressive moments for them.

Martin F O’Neill was also impressive for Mount Sion – big, quick and skillful. The return of the other Martin O’Neill is a big boost for them. And they did close out the game expertly with Midget Roche again displaying his great ball skills.

Only one of the four games at the weekend went down to the wire, while two of them were very lop-sided. This reflects the big gap between the small number of better teams and the rest in the county. This contrasts with the situation in Clare, Galway and Cork where the club championships are much more competitive. There was a good article on this in the Examiner last week. Not that it seems to matter much in terms of who wins the provincial and All-Ireland club championships or which are the best county teams.

Aussie Gleeson looks in incredible shape to be fair to him. Hope he’s finally turned a corner

Ballysaggart, Clonea and Tallow out if they lose their games

Fourmilewater need Lismore to beat Dungarvan next weekend for them to progress to the knockout stages

Abbeyside first team through to the QFs with Ballysaggart bowing out for the year

Really disappointed with Ballysaggart in the senior rankings thought they would be better. I wonder will the Bennetts train with another club now till the intercounty trialing starts?

    Ah yeah skipped my mind

In Grp A If Passage beat Tallow tomorrow than them and Ballygunner will be through

Grp B if Roanmore win tomorrow against Clonea than its them and Mount Sion through

Next week Grp C could possibly be the only group where 3 teams have a chance of progressing. Fourmilewater will go through if Lismore beat Dungarvan but scoring difference will decide the top 2 if Lismore lose
