Switch BOTW Messenger bag reduced to €17.99 in Argos (seems to be stock at a good few stores). Comes with a portable carry case inside too!

Does it actually function as a bag though, or is it like that other Nintendo one which could only be used to carry the Switch because of the way it was designed?

Never played a Castlevania game. Does the Collection hold up today? Or is it more of a nostalgia trip for those who grew up playing them?

It's definitely a nostalgia trip, but I never played the SNES game and I found Super Castlevania IV fantastic.

In fact it's regarded as one of the best SNES games and still holds up today

Probably a bit off topic but can someone check the cheapest region to buy Dark Souls from? The two normal price checker websites I use just freeze up my phone and I'm not near a PC now.

Also if anyone has a physical copy they're looking to sell we might be able to work something out.

Hong Kong shows as ~€32.50 on Eshop-Prices, but most of the European stores have it at €40.

Thanks for that. Might hold out until it's on sale again so.

Yeah, probably for the best. I know it's technically a remaster, but €40 for a 9-year-old game is a bit rich, even accounting for the Nintendo tax. Particularly if it's digital i.e. no reselling afterwards...

Speaking of which, dekudeals reports that Argos have it at €33 for physical if you really had to have it. Looks like it's been on sale 3 times in the last 15 months or so.

I'll have a look now. I'm in no rush as I'm playing through it on PC for the first time but wouldn't mind getting some handheld play.

Dark Souls is possibly one of the most satisfying games made in the last decade, certainly one of the best games of all time.
And the standard of the Switch port is incredible.
It's a game a player will live with and master over years, not to mention play through and keep finding something new.
€40 is pretty okay money for it, imho

I've only played about 20 mins of the first one and I'm enjoying it so far. Don't think it'll have oceans of depth but there's enough of them to make up for that and the newer games might have more to them. Never played them before.

All Star Fruit Racing is 99c (down from €20).

Obviously no rival to MK, but seems to have reviewed around 6 or 7 out of 10 and it looks like it's a good one for kids. Split screen and online co-op too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 461 ✭✭jface187

Uno down to 4 euro, shame you can't do one human player against another, only co-op but still fun.

Great pads too. Pity the pro version isn't there as that has analogue sticks and gyro controls.

I've never seen those pads that cheap.

They are legit awesome, incredibly well built. I have one for the SNES Classic, and it's amazing

THe N30 Pro2 NES version is €24 on amazon France.
€30 including delivery to Ireland, or €56 for two of them delivered.

Do any of those include the 8bit dongel that you can use to connect Xbox one controllers or is that sold separately?

Those ones are the old (discontinued) SN30, which are great, but only have D pad and 6 buttons (And start/select of course).

Worth noting, the Pro versions have analogue sticks, but no gyro.
You need to make sure it's the Pro2 or Pro+ versions for that!

    Pro: https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-g-classic-or-sn30-pro-sn/
    Pro2: https://www.8bitdo.com/n30pro-2/
    Pro+: https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-plus/

    I've collected over the years a SN30, NES30 Pro, and a SN30 Pro+.
The Pro+ is a big leap in quality and feel from the NES30 Pro even.

That's good to know. I've an old NES30 and it's great but the button options are too limited for modern games. Probably worth getting the Pros unless you're only using it for retro gaming

What are you trying to connect an xbox controller to?

The Switch. Apparently one of the 8bit dongles allows you to use Xbox One controllers fairly perfectly. I have two Xbox One controllers already so that would be ideal. It's probably a different dongle though

no you need the usb retro connector - which they dont have in GS it looks like.

The retro connector they have is just for the classic consoles.

this is the one you need

Argos have Constructor Plus for €24.99 or 2 for €18

Seems to be a code in a box version and not a cartridge

Game is €19.99 on eshop so 2 codes for €18 is a good saving
