Ring Slings

Anyone here used a ring sling before? On my last baby I used a moby soft structured carrier which was fine. Comfortable enough. But I love the look of the ring slings. What do people think? Are they very difficult initially? Are they comfortable. I get sore backs so wouldn’t want too much pressure on it either. Thank you

I never liked unstructured slings. I could never relax with them. I used a Connecta which I loved.

I could never get the hang of the ring sling at all. I've always loved the soft structured carriers though and have a brilliant one at the moment that I can use on both the toddler and 4 year old (she's tiny though). I bought it when the 4 year old was about 18mths and used it for my toddler as a newborn as soon as I was able to after having a section.

I couldn’t get the hang of a ring sling either. My cousin loved hers though. There is a learning curve with them and I wasn’t patient enough. I love my Isara The One which is a buckle carrier. Been using it since my little girl was 7 weeks.

Ring Slings can be difficult to get the hang off, I have one but would reach for others first. You can get the more structured slings made of wrap fabric. I am currently using a Fidella Fusion, the also make a mai tai style one. Fidella flytai.
There is a sling library you can rent from so essentially try before you buy
