    according to the DM:

The ECJ will publish their 'opinion' in three weeks' time, on 6th August. Their final judgement, which usually follows the opinion and is binding on courts across the EU, will be delivered soon afterwards.

so it'll be next month before we know the outcome of CB's appeal.

Plumb. You're hilarious. Only few comments back that you came out with this:-

"I still believe the child never left the apartment alive, the dogs reactions in the apartment are too important to ignore imo why Gerry and Kate were so dismissive is strange. Their behaviour in the aftermath was strange. The timeline of events is a tough one even the experts cannot present a credible one to either prove innocence or guilt".

"Personally I think it's time to take another close look at the McCanns and their wider circle as it existed in 2007."

Assuming that there is credibility with the dogs. When, after a police investigation, it was concluded that there was noting in it. You're the king of assumptions. But hey - you're just keeping an open mind!! Right :rolleyes:;)

I said what I think, I don't presume to tell others what they think or assign something to them they never said which is a familiar tactic of a poster here.
    Nothing hilarious at all.
The dogs reacted the samples were too small to be conclusive.
Might take you a while but you can check but I never claimed to have an open mind unless I see evidence to contradict what I think so far.
But hey you just proved my point claiming others said something they didn't, thanks.

Excellent work, I hope he’s working under his own steam so it can’t be linked to any other bias. Has to be the caller or at least the IMEI of the phone to find where it was sold and to who. The German police might not be wrapping the case up just yet so.

If he does get out I think he’s going to find it a lot harder to travel around without being noticed unless he develops a disguise. His face has been all over the papers all over the EU for weeks.
I think (I hope) his days of parking up the camper van in order to spread more misery are over.

All he’s to do is grow a beard, put on a mask as is safe with covid, sunglasses and nobody will have a notion.

And for how long will that last?

He wouldn't last a week in Germany with that, probably less elsewhere with his distinctive accent.

Dunno but I’m sure he’s been clever enough all these years even with the press heat on him. I’m hoping he doesn’t get a seconds peace either way.

    More lucky than clever. He's a ****.

I would hope that he doesn't get his comeuppance until it would be known whether or not he was definitely involved in Madeleine's disappearance. It would be a shame if he went to his grave without knowing exactly what he knows.

He won't get much peace anyway!

That’s a fact. He’s a moving target if he gets out now to the extent where he’d be almost a suicide risk too. Best place for him and for the rest of us is that he’s kept under lock and key.

There’s a load to extract from him yet with other murders and crimes he’s suspected in.

    But not necessarily MMC though.

Anyway we shall see what happens. Amazing that it took 13 years to get to this stage. And I know there have been other cases that were solved many years later too, hopefully this is one of them.

Are the various police forces talking to each other on this, and has the famous letter been delivered?

Well it’s taken this time because of his crimes since 2007 have made him a red hot suspect and then information from former partners and friends so in 2007 he wasn’t on the sexy offenders list when he should of actually been. This is how he would of gotten away with the abduction if it is him cause he was under the radar at the time.

Very interesting. I wonder if these pics are recent? She’s not suspected herself I see, just the tipp off.

I'm deeply regretful that I created this thread. The amount of time and energy wasted going around in circles is a crime against humanity.

Why, you have given many a poster time to bitch and moan, speculate and castigate others. It is topical and interesting.

You don't have to join in if you don't want to, but I for one think you created the thread at a good time for some kind of news. Have no regrets my friend.

The thread will just go to sleep for a while now anyway since it will be a few months before we know anything about the alleged abductor.

    Good on you.

I don't think you are. You created this thread for discussion and that is what happened. Job done.

It's not your fault that so far it has appeared to be a false dawn. You like many others hoped it would be an end to the mystery , prehaps MWT may have provided the German authorities with significant evidence .
Its a divisive topic, people see things differently some allow for a difference of opinion others are vehemently opposed to any opinion this disagree with as evidenced recently.
I have my own opinion as to what happened and nothing I have read or learned in the last 13 years has changed my position, I have no issue if I 'm proved wrong.
The overriding issue here is though, a young child was failed by those tasked with insuring her safety. Dress it up any way you want but that is undeniable fact.

The only thing missing is that you actually share with us what you think happened. What, where, when, how, why and who. I recognise that it’s the “how” that’s the big problem as it is for 100% of the observers who have the same “opinion” as you.
I guess you don’t have to but you choose not to. All we can do is draw our own conclusions from your secrecy and that’s what we do. That’s pretty much it.

Ah it’s not gone to sleep now though Spanish Eyes. You keep trying to insist that the German guy is over but you’ve not seen the latest.
The woman described by Jane Tanner?

Have you ever wondered why very few are willing to engage with you? Could it be your inability to accept a different opinion. You have been banned on several of the McCann threads for good reason.
I have answered your questions to another poster, you however are not worthy of the same effort.

3 days after Madeleine's disappearance, Gerry McCann was filmed laughing and joking on their balcony. Very strange. They never physically searched for Madeleine but went jogging and blogging about their jog times.

He went to the U.S., when she was most definitely not there.

That is an outright lie, you don’t half post a load of deceptive hyperbole. They searched themselves along with other tourists, hotel staff and the GNR until 4am and then went back out again at first light the next morning to look for her some more.

They first went jogging on May 16th, 13 days after Madeleines disappearance.
I’m quite perplexed at how this can be perceived as suspicious when exercising is one of the most wholesome, healthy ways to deal with stress and anxiety. A far better coping method than drinking, smoking or taking drugs.

Look up press reports from the days and weeks following Madeleines disappearance and you will find 99.999% of photos show them as anguished, distressed, and heartbroken parents.
But no, you zone in on the one video clip of him looking animated when there are literally hundreds of photos of him looking like he’s about to have a breakdown. Laughing isn’t illegal nor is it a sign of criminal activity, and the photos of him looking upset far, far outweigh that one clip of him smiling.
You only see what suits your own agenda.

so what are you saying then. that he disposed of the body and the reason he was seen laughing and joking was that he knew he had committed the perfect crime and had fooled everyone into looking for the wee girl? god, if only the police had investigated the PARENTS at the time, instead of wasting their time following up on other leads....???

I don't think the parents done it at all but the Maddie Podcast threw up some weird stuff. It would make you think, for a second. Then you realise it's rediculous. The logistics of them doing it just doesn't add up.

How is it that we’ve never heard this sensational information before? If only I’d known this before I’d never have spent all this time defending them! Laughing and joking you say! Well that seals it once and for all. Guilty guilty guilty.
Do you know the only other thing more damning I could imagine then laughing and joking on a balcony? If somebody told me that they were playing tennis the next day.
I mean I don’t need to have pictures of them playing tennis it would just be enough if I had read it somewhere and then I could have kept repeating it over and over and over again for 13 years as proof that they were guilty even when everyone else says their not.
    Any more breaking news?

Conclusively prove? Didn't know this was the crown prosecuting service.

As for wild speculation and tinfoil speculation, why is it so distasteful to raise the following: a child was abducted. The childs parents became very close friends with someone who transpired to be a paedophile.

How does that implicate the parents?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,914 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

It’s the most weird, mysterious, fûcked up crime and subsequent investigation I’ve heard of. I’m willing to believe that nobody will ever be held accountable... unless a third party say a friend or family members knows or stumbled upon something, say via a drunken admission or whatever, or a body turns up.

Do the police now KNOW what happened and just lack the direct evidence to prove it, or is it a mystery to them like it is us.

What? I didn't say he disposed of the body :(. I thought it was very strange that he was laughing and joking days after his 3 year old daughter was "abducted".

If my child was presumed abducted, I would not be laughing and joking. And I would be not not jogging and blogging about my running times.
