Ah well you know by now, babies left alone, wet nappies and so on for hours. Grand.

    wet nappies??

The McCanns left the children asleep at 8.30 to walk 50 yards to eat food. The children were checked on at least 3 times before Maddie was found to be missing 1.5 hours later.
Spanish Eyes is pretending that the McCann children were wearing nappies and that the nappies were soaking with piss. It’s just the type of lies people have been making up for 13 years. Nobody knows why they make this stuff up, they don’t know themselves at this stage.

When my kids were in nappies, I slept through the night where possible, unless they made a racket; wet nappies be dammed. They lived.

Those Germans are annoying. First they drop a bomb shell and then they as good as say 'nothing to see here'.
German prosecutors are preparing to end their investigation into Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner as they warn probe 'can’t go on indefinitely' amid fears he could be freed from jail in days

They also say they have no idea why the Portuguese are searching wells. 3 out of 20 searched so far. Very unpleasant job, I would imagine.

Well I'm sure everyone's very shocked at this very unexpected news

So the curtains are closed ( by the Germans) on another false dawn.
Time to allow the Met do a no holds barred investigation.

There is not a single poster on this thread who hasn't expressed their disgust at their behaviour.

I don't know about you happyout.

But I'm not hearing much disgust here. If anything an attempt to make it sound perfectly normal and acceptable.

    On a legal technicality!!!

Lets hope the court does NOT release him.
    He's a turd, -- Madeleine or not.

He's a piece of filth, no denying it but he should not be made a patsy if he was not involved.
Amaral suggested a patsy would be found. CB was looking like a promising candidate.

Why do you think that “the curtains are closed”?? Did you even read the article? They’re going to make a decision wether to charge him with Madeleines murder in the next few months.
You’re so anxious that this guy not be charged that you’re grasping at straws now. Why is that? Do you not want to see this case come to a conclusion unless it’s the conclusion you want?

Their investigation can’t go on indefinitely and that’s okay cause if you read the rest of the article then it shows they are going to decide weather to charge CB on the evidence they have gathered. In relation to the Portuguese police doing their searches of the wells, they are well entitled to do that and not have to coordinate with The Germans as the Germans are interesting CB first and foremost and Madeleine was a line of enquiry for them that they hoped would unearth more leads to the cases they have. I’ve thought this from the start when they got involved it was for their own needs too. They might get more funding themselves now. The positive is another pair of eyes on the case then negative is there’s so many separate investigations of they all put it together they could solve this all.

What am I supposed to be disgusted about limnam. You’re going to have to spell it out to me. The McCanns walked 50 yards from their apartment to sit down and eat, their apartment was checked 3 times in the 1.5 hours between they left and Madeleine was found to be missing....and.....lets see how many bits you can add on to make it more sinister then that...go ahead...

I'd rather see the Met carry out an in-depth investigation into the case without any avenues closed off. I have no faith in the Germans considering the messing around by the prosecutor.
Not anxious at all but I'd prefer the real culprit/culprits to be caught.

And you can go back to making your never ending “out on the piss” “out on the lash” boozing” “in the boozer” comments on every opportunity?

So....the German guy DEFINITELY isn’t “the real culprit” you’ve decided, having carefully and without any prejudice weighed up all the evidence...

First of all - the Daily Mail are the only ones reporting it this way. If you read the article you’ll see that he is about to start serving 7 years for rape, his lawyer is appealing this on a technicality. He’s not going to be walking off into the sunset. The only thing that bothers me is that he only got 7 years for that attack - if you read about what he did to that elderly woman, I can’t understand how it wasn’t life. Worries me that their justice system might be as messed up as ours.

At present I don't believe he is especially when I consider what Amaral said. It's too convenient. He's still a piece of filth though for what we know of his convictions.
As I said I would to see the Met carry out an unhindered investigation. If the Met finds him to be responsible so be it and justice can be served.

Whatever Amaral says is good enough for you so, it’s not as if Amaral is a convicted liar or anything like that.
For some reason you’re hoping against hope that the Met after years and years of investigation will find some way to implicate the MCCanns. This whole German man business has been sticky bum time for you. The important thing is not that the case be solved, but that the McCanns be proved to have killed there own child.

Amaral basically said in an interview that a patsy would be found to pin the disappearance on . At present I believe CB to be that patsy until evidence is presented otherwise to cement his guilt if it exists. The Met were hamstrung from carrying out an in-depth investigation as referenced by a senior officer who refused to lead the investigation after he was advised certain avenues of investigation were closed.
I have kept my comments to the subject of the thread you however wish to attack the poster instead of the comments, you do take this subject inordinately personal prehaps you should step back a little.
As an aside the McCanns apartment is 84 yards to the Tapas bar or 77.38 metres not 50 yards as you have claimed.

I'd love all forces to work together and get whomever is responsible behind bars asap. Like everyone else.

But you keep making your "boozer" comments.

I don’t get this gloating? The reason Madeline was taken is essentially down to her parents leaving her unattended in a foreign country while they went out for the night, eating and drinking. At the end of the day, whoever took her or harmed her is responsible too but whether someone came in and took her from her room does not negate her parents responsibility. She is missing because they were “out on the piss”. Just because they were sipping wine and not pounding pints doesn’t make it any less so.

No, the reason Madeleine was taken was because a pedophile took her.

There is no evidence to date she was taken by anyone. The only evidence we have is that she has been missing for 13 years.
Being left without supervision four nights in a row placed her and her siblings in danger. I'm amazed at the mental gymnastics people engage in to dismiss this.

I’m amazed at the seemingly endless vitriol at the parents for doing this. Would you say the same about parents here whose young children drown through lack of supervision? There are several every year - does their mistake make them monsters undeserving of any sympathy? And if another person had held their heads under the water, well that wouldn’t matter because the parents should have done better.

There’s every chance he walks off into the sunset that’s the issues with his appeal. Hopefully he’s nailed for everything.

There’s two factors here, The parents left her alone for a few nights in a row, left doors open to access the children and if a Peado took her then it’s all the consequences of the parents and the abductors actions. Without the parents actions she’d be still here with her family. That cannot be argued.

The public dont even know all the evidence to date so you cant even say there is no evidence she was taken. The German investigators have said they believe she is dead which suggest they do have evidence. They are building a case and can only say a certain amount to the media without jeopardising their case.

But for some they need this lead to be called a false dawn, because they have been pursuing the McCann's for years and will look like idiots when the case is solved.

That is your own subjective view and is not one shared by the Law in any jurisdiction I know of. If it was the McCann's would have done time for aiding an abduction. But the law will put 100% responsibility for the abduction on the abductor.
