Hi, Does anyone know where i could get an ethernet switch with at least 8 ports. i can order online but would rather shop local at the moment

Where about are you oppiuy? Off the top of my head BT Tech or Munster Tech in Ennis should be able to sort you out, Ennis Electrical sometimes has stuff like that as well.

Satcity in Ennis have this one. He needs to get in up from Limerick so picking it up on Saturday.

Just starting to realise how much online shipping i've started to do, when really should be seeking to shop locally for most of the stuff

Unfortunately shopping local for tech stuff tends to hit your pocket quite hard - I recently saw a 16 port switch in a Clare retailer selling for well over €100 when the exact same model is €70 online.

And my favourite was the Ennis 'tech' shop many years ago that wouldn't sell me a CPU fan because "it was only for PC's" and I was trying to use if for an AMD CPU and they were "completely different". Despite me explaining to the guy several times that I built PC's as a part time business and I knew what I was talking about he refused to sell it to me. Needless to say I didn't darken their doors again
