When will Bunker bìtch Trump start?
Who knows..at the height of the corona crisis President Turd played golf.....with protests about the murders of unarmed black people he hid in a bunker. #bunkerbiatch is right

Sounds like a whole heap of unfounded assumptions right there.

Deaths per million is exactly what it sounds like, and a very well used and useful statistic. The sizable uk (60m+) appears to feature in this, rank#2 at the last look.

Well, going with the fact that they're a larger country. They should be far more capable of both testing and coping with such a crisis, that is a default for countries with greater resources. Instead they've failed to flatten the curve and they're showing a growth rate greater than any country in the globe. You think this is a good time to stop federal funding of testing? The rate of daily infections is back at where they were in April...

    https://time.com/5859796/coronavirus-us-worst-day/

So that is not a well handled crisis. In the coming weeks, there is gonna be another rise in death rates. That is the reality.

Biden's Basement Strategy: Just Say Nothing
    Patrick Buchanan
Some polls now have Joe Biden running ahead of Donald Trump by 10 points and sweeping the battleground states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. This vindicates the strategy Biden's advisers have adopted:

Confine Joe to his basement, no press conferences. Trot him out to recite carefully scripted messages for the cameras. Then lead him back to his stall.

This enables Biden to avoid the blazing questions that are dividing not only Democrats and Republicans but liberals and leftists. And most of these issues touch on the explosive subject of race.

Mandatory National Service Would Create a More Equal Society, Former NSA Rice Says
A reported possible Joe Biden vice presidential pick this week reiterated her support for a program that would require all Americans to dedicate time in service to their country, at least in a civilian capacity.

    <snip>

The commission, which released its final report March 25 following years of research and hearings, recommended, among other things, that women for the first time in U.S. history be required to register with the Selective Service System for a possible draft, and that civilian national service opportunities be expanded.

    source

The draft, as it currently stands American men have to register, even though they are not currently called up since the Vietnam defeat, thi was at the root of the defeat of the equal rights amendment in the 1970s.
Almost all men age 18-25 who are U.S. citizens or are immigrants living in the U.S. are required to be registered with Selective Service. U.S. law calls for citizens to register within 30 days of turning 18 and immigrants to register within 30 days of arriving in the U.S.

    source

Phyllis Schlafly was an astute feminist, who kept female privileges in place which the ERA would have destroyed. For context at the time many young men found the draft objectionable, yet how many are raising objections to women being potentially forced to serve the state today? Personally I find militarism and the draft objectionable and such legislation must be done away with.

Women should be careful what they ask for as the US military has opened up all combat roles to women and has been seeking to get them registered for draft for many years now. You think they can't find a war for you when they have a huge pool of recruits, think again. One of the problems the US military has is recruiting medical personnel, they pissed so many doctors off during the wars in Iraq by forcing them to serve multiple tours of duty that the doctors quit because their practices at home suffered. Women now outnumber men in doctor schools a fact that has not escaped the military.

Why is that relevant to Biden, well the DNC may pick Susan Rice since they are known to be looking for a female candidate and Rice brings a seasoned campaigner like Obama on board.

Phyllis Schlafly and feminism is an oxymoron. Up is down, black is white, blue is green and Phyllis Schlafly was a feminist. Laughable coffee-spitting moment. Try reading your justifying link. She was an early lackey of the GOP/Religioius Right movement. Anti-womans-equality across the board.

Some of us are old enough to remember the ERA debates. BTW, the ERA passed, did you know that? Recently the Virginia Legislature became the 36th state to ratify. Of course, the legal challenges have started. It'd be absolute schadenfreude if one of the #IMPOTUS administrations legacys was ratifying the ERA.

Stop talking about the draft. You have no understanding of what went on. The draft is over.

Why is that relevant to Biden, well the DNC may pick Susan Rice since they are known to be looking for a female candidate and Rice brings a seasoned campaigner like Obama on board.

Speculative at best. Obama's already on board. Got anything better than this nonsense? Phyllis Schlafly, feminist. Thighslappingly funny.

It is not, American men still have to register. How many wars is the US military involved in? a lot. They do not have the necessary manpower to conduct a large campaign like they did with the gulf wars due to skill shortages and are bogged down fighting in asymmetric warfare conflicts. The military needs a bigger pool of recruits, this is why they need women available to make up the skills deficits they created and this is why since the gulf wars they have been pushing to force women to register. Today they don't call men for the draft, the legislation is there and can be activated in future.

Schafly was a feminist but paradoxically labelled anti-feminist, her emphasis was preserving female privilege. Today most women do not identify as feminists , which does allow for divergence of opinion.

If the US military succeeds in making it mandatory for women to register then at some point in the future the draft gets activated women get the opportunity to be equally maimed and killed. Will that be acceptable in future? Why would it be acceptable now? They are silently slipping in the draft for women and masking in under the guise of equality. People need to ask themselves is that the equality they want.

Have a good laugh safe in the knowledge you won't be affected by such legislation, your daughters might not have such a choice.

The question still floating around is what is Hillary Clinton up to? She has an alliance with Mitt Romney to pull votes from "Republicans". Even Kunstler has noted haw Biden has gone to ground.

You may be unaware of this but the Democratic Party is actually owned, lock-stock-and-barrel, by the Clinton Foundation. It has something else in mind. Due to the unfortunate last minute discovery of Joe Biden’s incapacity to serve, She Whose Turn Was Thwarted in 2016 will perforce be the party’s nominee for an epic rematch with the Golden Golem of Greatness. Let’s face it: everybody wants to see that contest. And an election with mail-in ballots will cinch her victory.

The idea of Biden being a placeholder has been floating around for a while, I guess we will have to wait until the DNC convention in August to quell those rumours.

Biden is leading by a large margin, there's absolutely zero reason why the dems would want to switch him out for Clinton. It's just conspiratorial nonsense.

The ONLY people discussing this tripe are republicans trying to poison the well.

This along with the "Joe isn't well" story lines are from the same playbook they used with Hilary Clinton as well.

They have absolutely no policy positions that they can fight on , so we're left with "His own party don't want him" and "He's got Dementia"

Trump was asked by Sean Hannity the other day what were his key policies for a 2nd term and his rambling diarrhetic response can be distilled down to "Try not to kill people and hire less gobsh!tes"

The Trump campaign - " The other guy's mental and I promise to not hire so many cretins next time so Vote for me!!!"

That last article doesn't mean what you imply re: not selecting Biden to run as the candidate. By 'placeholder', the author means more like a caretaker president to steady the ship of state but without embarking on any major policy initiatives.

Joe Biden gives our country a slim chance at re-establishing presidential norms, rebuilding our devastated institutions, and muddling through for a few years until we can finally get our **** together...
Biden will be a figure head, which could be the best possible thing for us now. We need a president who doesn’t keep us up worrying at night. We need a president who will defer to experts. We need a president who will sit back in a Lazy-Boy and watch CNN all day.

Kind of stupid too, if you are going to invest time and effort in a lie to undermine a campaign, get one that runs through to election night.

However, I suspect Clinton is the actual place holder in this nonsense.

My guess is they are hoping the vice pick is can be portrayed as some sort of despicable minority woman candidate and then Biden is a place holder for her.

An interesting enough theory, has there been many 80yr {by 2022} Presidents in office?

    To quote creepy Joe himself:
"Look, I view myself as a bridge, not as anything else," Biden said. "There's an entire generation of leaders you saw stand behind me. They are the future of this country."
    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/09/politics/joe-biden-bridge-new-generation-of-leaders/index.html

A bridge, a placeholder, stand in, an aging face in a suit etc.
Just as long as Hilary ain't looking to powersuit her way in.
There is a decent enough selection of others to select from.

I know it hard to remember what a real leader is but in general their job is to facilitate everyone below them to reach their maximum potential, not to actually enforce their will on others

The draft is over. Done. It won't happen. Exactly what kind of war would you think would need sufficient human forces to prosecute in the future?

Phyllis Schlafly would be turning over in her grave at being labeled a feminist. About as far as from modern feminism (or even contemporary feminism from her era) as you can get. You really don't get it, she was not a feminist, she was anti-abortion and 'women's privilege' is some nonsensical misogynistic twaddle you're peddling. She was all about having babies and staying at home while hubby brought home the bacon, sadly, that era is over.

A more accurate definition of Trump derangement syndrome would be those people who, for some unfathomable reason, actually think the man is competent, intelligent, or anything other than a loudmouth imbecile.

You can't make it to the office of the president without being competent. Hate to break it to you. Especially with no prior experience, at the age of 70.

Trump didn't get there because he was competent, he got there because the Rep party organised a very competent team to run a very competent campaign.

Whoever takes over from him has an uphill battle to repair the damage Trump has done, this will take decades.

In what way is Trump competent?

You can answer this in one of two ways.
Either in what he has done in his career before being President, or what he has done as President.

And to save me responding to you with examples, let me include them here.

He has had 13 failed business ventures
    Trump’s failed businesses:

    1. Trump Steaks
    2. GoTrump
    3. Trump Airlines
    4. Trump Vodka
    5. Trump Mortgage
    6. Trump: The Game
    7. Trump Magazine
    8. Trump University
    9. Trump Ice
    10. The New Jersey Generals
    11. Tour de Trump
    12. Trump Network
    13. Trumped!

And has sought bankruptcy protection 6 times.
    1. Trump Taj Mahal
    2. Trump’s Castle
    3. Trump Plaza Casinos
    4. Trump Plaza Hotel
    5. Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts
    6. Trump Entertainment Resorts

Not to mention the fact that he wanted to hide his tax returns and whatever truths are hidden by that fact. And that's before we talk about more people dying in a pandemic than in American wars since WW2, the largest unemployment figures since the great depression and his regressive acts towards environment protection.

So, he might be a lot of things, competent ain't one of them.

Trump's a twat, no doubt. But compared to Bush Jr his damage so far has been miniscule.
