What's a typically 800 euro studio apartment in Dubiln really like?

    I've read condemnation.

To be honest the idea of a studio doesn't really bother me.
Sure I like my space, but really so long as I have the essentials, bathroom, shower, hot water, cooker, microwave and reasonably adequate storage (in spite of potentially being "efficient" or compact storage), so long as it's there, I'm all good.

A comment recently suggested that Dublin CC snaps up studios to reserve their use for the homeless, thus they're actually tricky to come by?

I've never lived in a studio, typically shared accommodation which is shared cooking space and living room with 1 small ass fridge between 6 people, so basically I guess your bedroom is your sleeping area, you study area, your clothing and prep area - so is that so different from a studio?

My ultimate question here is, are studio apartments in Dublin mostly for-real shoeboxes?

I mean, are they actually liveable?

    About right?

    Smaller?
