Raining for the last hour or more in East Cork, near Midleton, quiet heavy at times. Thunder has moved on but air still feels heavy so more to come tonight I imagine

Knowing where you are, and the orientation, that's probably the 'stuff' over Meath/Navan.

Lots of thunder from the cell over southern Laois

Yes we're on the kk Laois carlow border and just had fantastic booms of thunder and torrential rain, but no hail like yesterday. The kids love it.

Temperature reached 19.9C, wind picked up and thunder rumbling to my east towards the Kilkenny/Carlow border, surely this has to hit me... :pac:

So many storms went south and north of me, teasing me with lightning, but no rain.

Anyone know if Dublin will get something or nothing?

Just on the edge of a thunderstorm in Tara, meath. Lots of thunder but rain passing to the west. Skys look dark to the north too so maybe more on the way.

Got this when heading out to the car at about 15.30, looking about west towards passage east waterford. Was gone in a few mins

Satellite has stopped working for the past few minutes, large drops of rain starting to fall, thunder rumbling, very black sky to the east.

Just outside Kilkenny city on an east facing hill. Watched and hoped all day I would get some action but it seems to have just stalled near Ballyfoyle/Castlewarren guessing that area got allot of rain.

I am still hoping the heat is enough to kick some thing into life :D

Very very unlikely at this stage

From where i am can see 2 or 3 more cells developing NNE of that kilkenny one, was one shooting up over waterford, gave one flash but seems to have stalled

I could be wrong but the sky is looking like its building into something good in West Dublin. And a swirling little breeze has gotten up in the last few minutes. You just never know.....

Is there some kind of rain shield around Kilkenny? The place is absolutely parched and we’ve had several days of thunder/heavy rain all around us, we keep escaping most of it.
Same this evening. Can hear the thunder to the east but warm and sunny here still

Yeah, i know, i think once the wife is home going to hit the road northeast, big cauliflower going up now between new ross and enniscorthy

Same over the border here in South Laois. Last night's "shower" was just 1.9mm. Hardly enough to keep the dust down.

We must be trapped in the same Nore valley vein. Although they had a huge shower last Saturday across north Kilkenny- dry as a bone in Kilkenny itself then. I was out in Durrow and road was covered in surface water through ballyragget
