Not a sport, which is a pity, but it looks a lovely example.

He's looking for enough for it!
I see he is also selling a set of Audi Sports wheels and I wouldn't be mad on the ones he has on the Avant
Wonder did it come with a set of sports wheels on it and he's trying to maximise profit

I'd definitely be interested in this if the tax wasn't so high. Pity.

What would the fuel economy bee like?

Yeah, its pricey enough - but if its clean I'd say its worth a look. IMO the sport wheels alone would transform it altogether. I think the wheels on it now are off a new-ish A3, they do it no justice. Rear spoiler and trim pieces for the bottom of the doors would be easily and cheap enough additions too, if you were so inclined.

So hard to find a clean sport these days, for any amount of money! At least the above car has the right engine anyway.

Not as good as the older 1.9's
I drove a 2 litre for 2 years after having 4 of the older model
I averaged 45mpg (about 6.3 l/100kms) with mine no matter how easy I drove it
Also, normally an automatic car will be slightly harder on fuel than a manual

That one is very expensive at that price
I sold my 2006 model last year and really struggled to get 1000 euros for it and 2007 models were selling for maybe 1500 at the time, so you'll probably pick them up for around 1000 - 1200 Euros this year

Because that's what they are worth.

Maybe a little more than that, but no more than 1.5k asking ;)

I hate when they don't take pictures of the interior. You will be seeing this a lot more than the exterior. Even just one picture will do :(

I'd be interested in this, they are well equipped things. The big issue is that the DPF has to be changed, yes replaced, in about 9k miles according to the official service intervals

EDIT: Not to mention the clutch will be needed soon, along with the timing belt/water pump.

Mondeo ST diesel, test til December, €1100

This looks decent for the money. They're a nice looking car

Have you seen the car, or just assumed things need to be changed based on the mileage?

Why would the clutch need to be changed?

At bangeromics end of market you don't really buy to spend. You buy to drive.

Well its reasonable to expect the clutch to be near enough the end. The dpf/timing/pump are purely going by service interval mileage.

True, but you only drive until you need to fix

Mondeo's are one of the nicer cars to drive as well. Really responsive and good fee from them.
I have one and probably the most reliable car i ever had.

You have no clue of the clutch condition until you drive the car, and even then it is hard to tell.

Clutch is not replaced at intervals. When it's gone it's gone.

You don't worry about those with bangeromics.

Never had to replace clutch meself and drove quite a few bangers ;)

If you are worried about having to replace parts you are looking in the wrong thread ;)

Absolutely, but we can agree it wouldn't be at 100% unless it was one constant 140k journey :D

The issue isn't changing the parts, its factoring it into the price a bit so its advantageous ;)

    Don't factor anything.

Service as soon as You drive out. That's it.

    140k is nothing.

I just drove 2018 Audi A4 with 120k and it felt as new.

I don't know why people think 100k plus and that's it. Good for this thread, more bangers for us, but don't see the logic behind it.

500 should get someone out of trouble.

I think it's just not great time to sell and you won't see much interest.
Old model with newer one, much nicer, being sold for close to that unfortunately.

Drop it to 550-500, with long nct I would not let it go for anything less than that.

Feel lucky it's not the sedan ;)

I remember being “in between” cars before and I picked up a 1.4 bora at the time for €300 with a clutch that was I’d say 90% knackered. Nursed it for the guts of a year and sold it for the same amount without doing the clutch. My god it was a miserable year.

They're actually one car that used to be everywhere and it seems like overnight, they all disappeared, PLUS, any remaining ones are normally in bits!
That one looks great and definitely well worth a look for anybody wanting something a bit different, plus I have heard they can return up to 60mpg on long runs
