Have you ever been at a party that involved dinner and drinks? :pac: You're going deny you ever have now but you'll have to admit to yourself that you have and it's game, set and match to me.

Of course I have. I wouldn’t call that partying though. Partying to me involves a pub or a club, loud music, big crowds, and lots and lots of alcohol.
Tapas and wine in a quiet restaurant is not going out partying, by any stretch of the imagination.

Right. Some people getting awfully wound up and hot headed in here. Strange carry on. Anyone ready to discuss anything of relevance?

You and Lacey are fit to explode! How dare anyone say anything bad about our precious McCanns! :pac:

An unblinkered view from those who have canonised the parents would be progress at least.

As we all know (yawn) they were irresponsible parents. But nevertheless their actions regarding their precious children is of no importance anymore because there was a paedophile in their midst. Shock horror. Absolved, who would have thought this.

The little babies could have been by their parents sides in their buggies for as long as they wanted in the bar/restaurant. It is the norm in such places, and they could have all walked the 50 metres or whatever the distance was home no issues. But no.

You were the catalyst, and now that you've, perhaps, finally relised you had no cause, you want to move on... I'm okay with that. The article about solitary confinement was actually a good start - although it was a pity you had a snip in the same post.

Quite possibly. Aparantely, some people have never heard this term, however.

Most people don’t have to get hammered just because they are at dinner with friends

I wasn’t a catalyst of anything. I made a point, had every intention of closing my browser and not returning to the thread tonight.. until your sarcastic remark appeared. So here we are.
The sniping back and forth serves no one. It’s not conducive to discussion and I’m sure it’s extremely boring for people to read, hence after half a dozen pages of it, I suggested moving on. No need to get petulant.

    True.

Most of them don't leave their kids at home alone doing it though

    Very civilized indeed.

You were the one that ignored plenty of responses, including the one where I disproved your post that I was spreading misinformation... Radio Silence on that from you.

That's worse than what another poster has been picked out for, imo but you do use very mod friendly phrases interspersed with your replies, kudos... you're showing AH experience at least.

This is not helpful to the discussion. It is also the direct opposite of my mod note.

Dont post in this thread again.

Dunno if it's been mentioned but front page of the Herald showed an Irish woman who thinks the German guy raped her in PdL in 2004

Victim of a savage attack, he was very meticulous and prepared

Portuguese cops swept it under table, she has recently contacted The Met Police in London

It sounds like the British police had swept the guy in general under the carpet

Why the brits didn't do anything?

No idea. I can only assume as he was cleared and vehicle was forensically checked at the time and got the all clear they'd no interest.

Sorry I did not see any post that backed up this claim

“And yet on this very thread some still say what they did was normal”

Some = more than one, and it can be read as though implying it is the norm on the thread. Which it is anything but.
Unless you want to go back and dirty delete that comment too or edit “some” to “one”, it is misinformation and incorrect.

    Edit: just saw Bagglys post.

Yes: and according to her report, her attacker used the same array of equipment and method that was used in the rape of the older woman in the same area - for which this man, Christian B -- was tried, found guilty, and imprisoned.

He's a very, very nasty bit of work. And he's into kiddies #puke

He said something that has the Germans believing it was him " I know what happened " Or something to they effect

If his two cars are clean, he was cleared and now a suspect I'd say he was part of a team that either took her or saw her after the abduction

I mean if he did it he'd surely tell his mate drunkenly it was him but to make the statement he did tells me there were a number of guys involved

I'd be very surprised if the German police were so into this guy because he said something. Especially something that came up in a pub drunk.

13 years now and not a washer and all of sudden this guy is getting buckled in pubs saying he knows what happened. Doesn't add up.

What has me scratching my head is someone saying 12 months ago a German pedophile in prison would be thrown under a bus for it. Then here we're

    Fairly odd.

    https://www.eagleradio.co.uk/news/world-news/3119354/madeleine-mccann-german-prosecutor-has-evidence-british-girl-is-dead/

A German prosecutor has said he has evidence Madeleine McCann is dead as he appealed to British tourists to help identify the suspect's former homes.

Hans Christian Wolters said police need more information about where the new suspect, named only as Christian B, has lived so police can search for Madeleine's body.

He admitted he does not have enough "hard evidence" for the suspect to go on trial.

Mr Wolters believes there are other British victims of sex attacks and has urged them to contact police.

He told Sky News: "After all the information we got, the girl is dead. We have no information that she is alive.

"All indications we have got that I can't tell you points in the direction that Madeleine is dead.

"We got things we cannot communicate that speak for the theory that Madeleine is dead, even if I have to admit that we don't have the body
    ."

Mr Wolters continued: "The hard evidence we don't have, we don't have the crucial evidence of Madeleine McCann's body.

"We expect that she is dead, but we don't have enough evidence that we can get a warrant for our suspect in Germany for the murder of Madeleine McCann.

"At the moment we also don't have enough proof for a trial at court, but we have some evidence that the suspect has done the deed.

I think this needs to be repeated. It’s quite natural that all of the information surrounding this suspect hasn’t been released into the public domain. And kind of arrogant that some would expect it to be.
Also it’s quite likely that Amal knew this guys name was circulating and thus tried to cover his own idiotic ass by saying someone would be framed. Arrogant so and so that he is.

He guessed that a German guy in prison would be framed.

    From everyone that was cleared.

Someone who the British police have ignored for years.

He guessed it would be him 12 months ago.

That in itself is fairly impressive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,039 ✭✭✭✭retro:electro

Yes I guess it is impressive that a paedophile who was in the area at the time of her disappearance, who has committed a string of offences in the area, who changed his car reg the next day and who had bragged about knowing what happened to her may once again fall under suspicion.
    Colour everyone shocked.

There was that many pedophiles around at the time it sounds like you couldn't move without bumping into one

Sure herself was drinking brandy with one.

If it was so obvious to him, you.

Why didn't the super duper amazing British police do anything about it ?

I’ve no idea. But what matters to most who are actually interested in what happened to Madeleine, and not point scoring or relentlessly blaming the parents, is the fact that it’s being investigated now.
    And that is good news.

Any idea why his prediction could possibly have been so accurate? Perhaps this is the perpetrator and well the Portuguese police knew it, but badly they handled it ?? Shock horror
