Look at my posts from last night and find the video, not that hard to find as you’ve been tracking me more then Christian B is being tracked ffs
2:15 onwards in the video when you find it.

    You posted

Anthony Summers said the apartment was washed clean of evidence and he’s been deep into this investigation from day one. The question is who washed it clean and who had the time to do it. Especially with Gerry checking but not going into the apartment. Portuguese didn’t know how to handle it, thought of tourism first and the child after it seems.

    Which is 100% incorrect?

Answer my question, did you watch the video? If I’m wrong I’ve no issue stating that but you are giving no evidence just saying ppl are right or wrong.

How did they not know about this guy on day one. Seems he was of interest? But they let him wander off regardless.

Same reason he’ll likely not be convicted now either, lack of evidence to. As they made such a hash of the dna collection, that would hold as much water as a paper bag. If is was him, you shudder to think he could be released from jail soon again and free to do what he pleases. Scary stuff.

This Amaral guy well it’s easy to say this German guy will be scapegoated, ..

    Wasn't that easy

He said it 12 months ago.

It's not like he came out and said it after the Germans said they had proof

Sounds like they knew about him fairly early

He was also passed on to the brits that didn't seem to do anything either.

All hypothetical below as I have no idea but I think
Easy though if he knew that this person was the guilty one, and that someone would figure that out, so like when 2 kids break a window, one will often come in to inform the other broke it first, in an attempt to deflect the blame and garner believability for their own version of the events.
Doesn’t mean the informer is telling the truth, nor that the other party is guilty.

There was nothing to indicate his guilt

His vehicle etc was forensically checked and got the all clear.

I’m just rewatching the documentary, and I’m on the episode where the McCanns returned to the UK.

There is press footage of Gerry walking out of the plane, down the steps and then giving an interview to the media at the bottom of the steps. All the while Sean is asleep on his shoulder.
So there would have been the ruckus & noise from the plane landing, Gerry picking him up, the jostling from walking down the steps, the loud noise of the engines and the general airport surroundings and then Gerry talking loudly and clearly to the press, while the child’s head was on his shoulder.

Sean didn’t so much as stir once. This paints the fact that they didn’t wake the night Madeleine went missing in a new light. Those children are clearly just heavy sleepers.

They clearly sedated them with Calpol on the plane back Susie. It doesn’t take an atlas to figure that one out.

I found the clip on YouTube for anyone who is interested.
It doesn’t show the part where he’s walking down the steps, but you can hear a huge amount of background noise from the plane and engine and Gerry isn’t exactly whispering into the microphone.
I presume someone will be along shortly to tell me they must have drugged the kids on the plane ride home too, but anyone can see that clearly they’re just deep sleepers.

Can I ask what the significance of them being deep sleepers would be?

Edit, and that clip is also an example of why people don't like them. He only got upset at the end when defending himself and his wife. Talking about his disappeared child, stoic. Talking about coming under flack, voice breaks.

People like to think that because the twins slept through the ruckus in the apartment in the wake of Madeleines disappearance that Kate and Gerry must have sedated all 3 kids.
And that when they sedated them, maybe they gave Madeleine an overdose and accidentally killed her.... Even though they are both doctors and Kate is a qualified anaesthetist, people think they managed to overdose their kids on calpol.

That video proves they really are just heavy sleepers, and it isn’t suspicious that the twins slept through all the drama in the apartment on the night Madeleine disappeared.

Imagine it from the perspective that they are innocent. It’s quite natural to be upset and defensive when you’ve just had to leave the country in which your child disappeared because their police force are blaming you for it.

I’ve always said they both seem a bit odd, they wouldn’t be my kind of people. I don’t think that makes them killers though.

Okay, I wouldn't have had an issue with that in the first place. The abductor would have made little to no noise. And if they slept through the ruckus of the initial investigation it would have been strange, but not inconceivable.

I've no problem with them breaking down (on the contrary), it's the point he breaks down is significant. But, I agree with you, I just think they are odd people. I don't think they are killers.

I used to work in a creche. At naptime, various children would wake up and call out that they want to be picked up, some would awaken an cry straight away. But that wouldn't wake up the other children.

Children sleep heavily for the first few hours of sleep.

I’m referring to the prediction of Amaral 12 months ago, long after all this.

Indeed I have twins myself. One guy would literally sleep on the floor and a bomb wouldn’t wake him till he’s ready to wake. The other guy wakes at the slightest noise and frets. Kids are all very individual.

    I don't see your point

Before he made the statement he was cleared

He still made the claim this guy would be scapegoated over 12 months ago.

Pretty weird with what is going on considering they cleared him

what do you think should have happened?

Some kids are just heavy sleepers and can sleep though a lot of noise. I remember minding my niece one night and put her to bed in her parent’s bed. After she fell asleep I took a shower in the en suite, but I forgot to put the fan on so midway though my shower the fire alarm in the bedroom went off due to all the steam. She never woke. She never even stirred. And that was with a piercing ringing for at least two or three minutes until it finally stopped. Same niece would sleep through when you’d take her from the bed mid way through the night and sit her on the toilet.

I really don’t find it that odd that they didn’t wake. It’s a detail that those in favour of making the McCanns look as suspicious as possible love to cling to, some use it as “proof” they were sedated; but anyone with any experience with minding kids will know it’s nothing worth remarking on.

What fire alarm is triggered by steam?

:pac: This and posting a video where one of the twins is clearly awake and we can't see if the other one is or not!

Weird stuff. Somehow this clears the McCanns of having anything negative said about them!

A smoke alarm can be affected by steam, heat detectors would be used in some cases to avoid this.

Sorry for you delete your comment? Ever hear of a heat detector? They are installed now in most apartments.

I deleted my comment rather than edit, which you'll need to do to translate into English.
