Hydraulic top link

One thing I'd say is to get one with check valves fitted...A lot of the cheaper basic ones that you see for sale in co-ops and the like have no check valves. The check valves will prevent the ram from creeping during work, as well as preventing an implement from crashing to the ground if a hose leaked or anything....

Ya the square block between the 2 ports is the check valve. You could email them to be sure it's the same as the one in the pic. Think you normally have to get hoses made up yourself alright. Could call into local tractor dealer aswell. The bigger ones will probably have them in stock or would order them in for you.

Measure your current top link at the shortest and longest lengths that you use it at, and make sure the new top link can operate at similar lengths. The min and max length will be listed in the spec online. There are numerous different lengths available, and getting the wrong one would leave it next to useless....

Go into your local machinery man. He’ll advise you what to get and won’t shouldn’t be any dearer than the lad 30 miles away

eliminates constant pressure on the spool valves but more important in the event of a hose bursting it keep the top link in it's present position

i.e. attached implement won't crash to the ground
