Trembling in a springer spaniel

Lads have a 10 year old springer here but have noticed past few days he will take into a fit of trembling / shaking uncontrollably.

He has plenty of water / food and has been in the house. Even when he's lying up sleeping in comfort he can start this shaking.

I realize it could probably mean any number of things but just wondering if anyone else has ever had this in a dog? Like is it a common thing in older dogs?

    Cheers

i would take him to the vet for a check up in case it is something serious.

It can just be old age and a form of Parkinson's disease.
We have a 13 yr old hound and he tremors on and off for the last two years.
