I'm replacing my garden shed. I want to get a slimline oil tank and hide it behind the new shed. This will necessitate extending the pipe between the tank and the boiler . This will necessitate extending the pipe between the tank and the boiler .
It has been proposed to simply connect on a new piece of pipe to the existing one. However, this would then be buried under the new concrete base and I'm not sure if that's an acceptable way to do it, as in burying the joint.

Is this ok or is there an alternative? Replacing the entire pipe is a non runner due to location.

ideally the whole pipe should be replaced but if not possible

a joint would be acceptable once its checkable in future so it would need to be enclosed in an aj or the like aj= access junction

If new shed is not fire rated (i.e. timber etc. ) a fire barrier between it and tank will need to be considered.
