Converting square meters to square yards?

I'm trying to compare the price of something, it something with Shop A is €6.99 per sq yard, and with Shop B is €7.06 per sq meter, which one is better value?

How do I convert sq meters to yards to get a price to compare them both price wise in sq yards?

As you can guess, maths isn't my forte and my head hurts from trying to figure it out

Divide by 836 then multiple by 1000 to be more exact

1 square yard is 0.836 square metres. So times the shop b price by 0.836 to get the amount in square yards.

if you google sq yards to meters converter it will come up.
In round numbers 1 sq yd = 1.2 sq m
so
B: 7.06/1.2 give you the price of it per sq yd = 5.88 vs 6.99

going the other way
A: 6.99 *1.2= 8.39/sqm vs 7.06
So Shop C is cheaper.

Just kidding, Shop B is cheaper.
