Feck sake, it should be tomorrow, 100 gigs is gonna take me a few days, clowns!

Thank fcuk for fibre! But with the slower speeds it'll still take a while for me too.

It could be the 3rd according to this. Probably the 2nd in some regions to ease on traffic

The adjusted preload date might have also gotten people’s hopes up. People who went with a digital copy saw the preload date get bumped up to April 2 or 3, 2020, depending on their region

This is gonna take about 3 days to download on a ps4, my xbox would do it in a sec :( Why are PS4 downloads so much slower?

Wonder what % it's playable at

Is it 100 gigs on disk or does it need 100 gigs for the install?
Games generally need more free space than the actually take up while downloading don't they?

I've had the opposite experience, the PS4 has been much quicker downloading stuff than the Xbox.
    The copying part though...

According to RM tracking, they handed my FF7 package from ShopTo over to AP at 1am last night... what do you reckon is the chance of it going through the sorting centre today and delivery tomorrow morning (AP Sat delivery happens in my area)

    That looks... Very anime.

The script and acting seem really bad and not liking their interpretation of aeris in the trailer.

One thing I did like was the fight with the house enemy which looks next level mental.

They're bringing a lot ofsephiroth and calm flashback forward although that was obvious from the previous trailers. Sephiroth was barely mentioned in Midgar in the original game. I liked the build up. Very much doubt Sephiroth in your face is going to improve things.

Going to be hard waiting on the PC release of this. Even if I end up hating it I still curious to see how it turns out. I did play all the way through Duke nukem forever one pure curiosity alone and doubt this will be anything less than enjoyable rather than a train wreck. Hopefully I'll get to play a bit in a friend's house... But I can't with covid19! What's a nerd to do!

I guess it is not exactly pushing him front and center if he appears well into a 50 hour game. Waiting several years for the next installment for the person every knows is the real villain to appear after already putting in 50+hrs doesn't quite work as well as waiting till you stick in disk 2 after 10 hours of playing.

Well we will see how it works but there is an element of restraint in FFVII which was taken from Glory of Heracles 3 that worked really well in the original. Just hoping they don't squander that build up for fan service.

Anyone else chuckle at the sass coming from RedXIII in that trailer?

God I hope they keep the relationship between Barret and RedXIII as much as they can. It was sort of alluded to in the game originally that they give each other crap but would love to see that sort of dynamic kept

Probably the only part of the script I liked :)

Just off chat with square enix asking why I've no tracking number to see where my delivery is and everyone else seems to have one.

Anyone getting delivery from Royal Mail, it says handed off to delivery partner. Link brings me to An Post who don't have an update. Any rough idea how long it took for An Post to show info?

TBH this is one thing that's concerning me about the remake as well (and I'm someone who's generally very hyped for it). There were a lot of clues about Sephiroth in the opening parts of the game but no big in your face reveal until a fair bit later on. I'm a little concerned about Midgar being turned into a full game in general as well, I'm really struggling to see how they could get anything close to full length without a lot of filler. I'd be happy if it ends up being 20 odd hours with any filler being optional.

I actually like the idea of Midgar being turned into a full game. The game was meant to be set in a steampunk city entirely in original pitches and it shows as it's by far the most realized and tightest part of the whole game. It's a wonderful setting, full of character and life and I wish I could have spent more time in it. The game for me never gets as good once you leave midgar, although I enjoyed some of the junon sections.

When I first played the game I thought the whole game would be set in midgar and then was very disappointed when I couldn't go back. I also remember my biggest disappointment in the game was the return to midgar later on which was just a dungeon as I was so looking forward to returning there. So I'm well up for an expanded midgar setting and there's loads of potential there to stretch it out.

Probably the only place that still has stock is GameStop, though as usual they are the most expensive.

Would it be worth ordering from Amazon for delivery next Friday? I never pre-order games so have been stung by this unfortunately.
