    I've been using NewClaremans image for over 12 months now and attempted to update last week. Multiple attempts to boot on flash from usb on startup failed. I was mooching through the settings when I found the option mentioned above and successfully flashed the latest image. Found it straightforward and it worked 1st time !

    Anyone else having a problem with the Sky News channel on this latest build?
    First I noticed the channel itself was missing and I did a manual scan which restored it but still no EPG data for it.
    All other channels working normally!

    Yes, Im having similar issues...havent been able to take a look at it yet though.....

    A number of channels changed frequency, over the past couple of days. These include Aljazerra, Sky news and Smithsonian. These changes would be picked when ABM auto-updates, overnight. If you run a manual scan on ABM, you then need to run EPG Refresh, to update the EPG. Otherwise, the EPG will refresh automatically, but that will take some time.

    The time on the display flashes on and off for several minutes. Noticing it with the recent build. Is this is updating ABM or something?

    If your box is in standby and it is recording, the time display will flash for the duration of the recording

    My box is not refreshing the EPG. I cant refresh through the menu either as it say Stop running refresh and wont cancel it.
    Any ideas?

    Still no luck with the EPG. Nothing is recording either. Should I re flash?

    hi, did you try the 'delete' EPG option (its at the bottom of the EPG options in 'settings' then refreshEPG?

    just to be sure....have you rebooted the box?

    Thanks. Rebooting made no difference but deleting the EPG seems to have cleared things up.

    Is anyone else having trouble with EpgRefresh? Saorview channels are populating the EPG but not any of the satellite ones.
    I’ve deleted the EPG and then refreshed several times to no avail.

    Satellite and saorview channel reception is perfect...

    Yes - it stopped working for me, don’t know why. I reinstalled CrossEPG and it’s now working fine, with no issues. I just disabled the EPGRefresh updating.

    I tried flashing using a 500mb stick and it went through the process. It looked like all was going smoothly, it flashed, rebooted but is now stuck on "Run Alpha +" on the front display, with nothing showing on the TV.


    Tried rebooting but I think I have bricked the thing. Do I try flashing again? I think I have bitten off more than I can chew!

    I wouldn’t think it has been bricked. Try flashing an older image.

    I tried flashing with 3 different USBs. a 8gb, 4gb and 500mb. The 500mb was the only one it picked up. I've now tried formatting this USB to start again, but its saying its now "Write protected." I tried several different methods of formatting it to no avail. I think it may have been corrupted. I think I'll have to buy a new 500mb usb to try flashing again

    Would anyone know how to resolve the following error? “Auto bouquet maker: Failed to tune saorview on tuner C”

    Can receive rte 1 etc on a smart tv in the kitchen along with many other uk channels.

    The tivar box can receive rte 1 2 etc. Just missing some of the itv3 itv4 stuff

    Maybe your abm version is old and providers need updating and abm run again.

    markflynn101, these boxes can be tricky, Where can you get a 500mb usb these days?? The brand of usb is as important as the size. I find INTEGRAL very good and the best is a SANDISK cruzer.

    When you wiped the usb did you reformat with lapotp/pc using windows and extract the image to the usb? How adept are you at this mallarkey?

    There are quite a few ways of fixing the problem, can you say make of usb's? And did you try pressing the power button before you get a prompt and hold it?

    Finally there is an online method.

    Having trouble. Can anyone advise why the most recent image has three files, whereas the older versions have 4 files in total.

    Can get the old version to flash just not the new version. All files from the very first post here.

    Possible reasons are:

    1. You haven’t set the correct Saorview region, within ABM.

    2. The Tv signal is being received, e.g. faulty cable between tv point and Tiviar.

    3. You haven’t updated the provider files within ABM.

    My new laptop does not have an ethernet port and dont have the USB c adapter. Have an old Wimdows xp laptop but can't get it to see the tivair box.

    Any tricks for this? Or any way to bet the latest I,age to flash by USB stick?

    Does xp have wifi and box has an internet ip like 192.168.1.27 check yours.
    Enter that into web browser and to see if it sees box.

    Check box has Samba running as maybe that is why you cannot see box on network.

    MrSkinny identified how the latest build could be flashed from usb, see here. if you look at the following posts, it looks like it should work.

    Otherwise navigate to network, under system and check the ip address. If you can’t see the box it is almost 100% certain that Samba needs to be restarted.
