Madrid have been stout in defence and exploited Liverool's defensive weakness with efficiency.

Just because Liverpool have swung in 300+ crosses doesn't mean they deserve to win.

AM got extremely lucky, one mistake has changed the game....thats all....they really deserved nothing tbh

Feck it, i wish i was wrong about this.

When everyone previewing it mentioned as much the fear was there, especially after last week's FA Cup game he must have had zero confidence. Thought we'd get away with it tho.

The second goal has absolutely killed us

Ashamed of what? And what did they bottle?

    They had it won.

    He cost us the tie

I'd say he was partly at fault. There's fault with TAA and Gomez as well but sure that don't matter because you want to stick the boot into the keeper.

If that makes you feel better knock yourself out.

Look there is no defending Adrian I’m afraid. He chucked one in the net against Chelsea. And chucked another in tonight. We didn’t deserve to beat Chelsea anyway but it’s 100% lost us a game tonight that we completely dominated for 95%.

"stout in defence" Madrid have conceded as many as the team with the "defensive weakness"

Results orientated narratives, it was ever thus.

Liverpool were brilliant tonight. The woodwork and a terrible mistake after the game was won did it but that’s why this competition is so bloody hard to win twice in a row.

Lol more of a push on Gini in the build up to the 2nd goal than there was there from VVD

    They had it won.

Be ashamed for the keepers mistakes, but we played really well and dominated the game. Couldn’t be ashamed of the outfield 10.

    They had it won.

How had they it won, there was loads of time for AM to score one never mind two, christ calling this team bottlers is ludicrous

    I'm ashamed. They bottled this.

    Ashamed?

Also not every defeat means you've "bottled" it. Annoying phrase.

I don't mind a shot going in. It happens. Even to Allison at times.

But when you know you're not great with your feet, the decision to kick that first time, in that direction, when Milner is the obvious easy ball out left, is pretty unforgivable.

    They had it won.

    No, they were leading.

    They had it won.

“They” didn’t bottle it. One mistake prone player in a game too big for his career did. That’s all. Sucks but there’s nothing to be ashamed about.

We've had nothing in the tank since Firmino scored.

Partially. Jesus, give it a rest. This is on the keeper. Laughable to defend him.

Well at least we can have a meltdown for a few days talking about this instead of the coronavirus

Yes, there is, and it’s pathetic. They defended him before for errors, and trying to back him up again. This is on him and that crazy error.

As horrible as going out this way is, I'm delighted with the performance anyway, best since the winter break by a mile.

He passed the ball directly to the opposition and fell over when trying to make the easy save right after, it's 110% on Adrian.

Are you nuts? We were cruising it until that bell end in goal messed up

    They had it won.

I'm ashamed of any fan who could be genuinely ashamed of that performance.

The thought of Adrian vs Everton will probably make us hope we put Alisson in a body cast to play on Monday.

Season obviously still a great success taken as an overall view, but the way it has gone the last few weeks it feel like a real kick in the guts. After years of crap it's amazing how quickly you can come to get used to winning things! Very disappointing the way it has ended in the cups though, with avoidable defensive/goalkeeping mistakes the decider.

Hopefully we can get the league wrapped up soon and the season doesn't get Covided!

Now he brings the cards out for kicking the ball away
