05 ML diesel, tax til May, NCT til November, €1250

Current owner has it 4 years. Seems a genuine ad. Nice big 4x4 for small money

Nice S-Line A4 Avant will probably be bought for close to a grand
NCT to November and taxed until the end of the month
    Asking €1200

That was posted a few pages back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,720 ✭✭✭Mad_Mike

That was posted a few pages back.

Sorry! My bad. Haven't been as active recently and must have missed that one
Also it was only listed in last day, so I assumed it was a new listing
Wonder was it higher price previously?

[EDIT]Went back about 10 days and don't see it anywhere. I see the petrol one that Duke posted alright[/EDIT]

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,086 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

It looks very like a 1.8t avant I posted recently.

I think the B7 A4 is an absolutely smashing bangernomics prospect these days. The above is the whole package, S line, avant, diesel - all for a shade over a grand.

Ah yeah, I saw the 1.8t alright but this is the TDi, basically same spec as my own, only B7 instead of B6, although my own has leather interior

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,519 ✭✭✭✭punisher5112

Would love that A4... Really like the style and still looks modern. They were well ahead of their time imo.

a fair bit of mileage,In sure they're able to handle it, looks to be due a timing belt by the information, nice and clean looking, any idea what engine is in these? Ive a low mileage ASV, If I was near, Id be tempted to have a look, boot isnt foldflat like my octavia, but much nicer/cleaner looking.
Any idea if cruise standard in that spec, got very used to it, I think it can be retrofitted to all diesels anyway.

That's crazy money for a 19 year old car, tax or no tax.

    I like that car
I agree €750 isn't crazy money when you look at what you are actually getting but I think they'll still struggle to sell it due newer cars being sold at a similar price and also the issue of insuring a car over 15 years.

agree, still its kinda nice looking, fortunately for me its too far or Id probably take the hand off them,

Ya I'm about to sell my 03 today for 500e today. Feels like I'm giving it away but I suppose a car is always worth more to the owner as they know its history, all the problems with it etc. Someone from the outside is taking a risk buying an old car.

I could probably hold on for another week or two and get another 100-200e but I'm not sure if it's worth it. My new car is arriving next week and I won't be insured to drive my old one. It'll just be sitting there. If I'd a yard to keep it in it wouldn't be as much of an issue but it'd be sitting out on the street.

This one is more realistically priced.

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/fiat-panda/23956909

You're comparing a car with almost a year NCT with one that ends next month. Its price reflects the short NCT.

Better to go for the longer NCT and negotiate the price down to where you want to be.
Going too cheap can be costly at this end of the market.

2010 Octavia with test til August, €1100

Seller concedes its an ex taxi, miles are high(ish) but from the one photo in the ad it looks reasonable

Is that a bullet hole in the front bumper near the wheel arch? :)

Unlikely. Those old Octavias are bulletproof.

That is brilliant. Pre facelift 2010 model. Pity it's not on steel wheels and CN plates

That is only just ran in.... Actually miss the burnt orange 2003 one I had, it was the 1st near new car..... 3 years old when I got it, it done cross country runs a lot, 2 labs in the boot and sometimes full of passenger too.

    Not a bother to it.

Lovely genuine looking e-class. Would make a lovely yoke to run on lpg. All you would need then is the tweed jacket and stately home to go with it!

Lovely high spec estate car with 3 months tax. Short NCT but the tax is worth €200 so the car is €495. Surely worth a punt if you need a car with plenty of luggage capacity. Eye wide open if viewing of course.

Nice coupe if a little pricey. Tax and long NCT though.

Love those Accords in that colour combo. Remember seeing one back when they first came out and I thought it was the nicest thing ever. Great find that

Nice looking Touareg with a years test, €1950

This looks nice. 1 previous owner and Irish from new makes it more appealing. Most of these at the lower end of the market have been through the mill, this might be an exception

Wow, that's a clean looking example alright. As you said, most of these have been wrecked at this stage

Whats the story with chevy cars. They seem to sell cheap.
    Are they still American built.

    What we get are dirt....

Daewoo was what we had 1st then the Chevy took over their spot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,328 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Chevrolet did the decent thing and exited Europe in 2015.

All we were really getting was Korean built nasty stuff.

That Aveo looks alright for €1250 IMO.

Decent looking car, good stretch of test, cheap tax, new(ish) plate

Makes a lot of sense for someone looking for a cheap first car.
