New build - Elec cert before appliances?

    Hello. Can anybody tell me if a RECI will provide the new build elec cert before all appliances have been fitted?

    The issue is that I need the power connected to the new house in order to get my underfloor heating fired up (it's already installed) to help speed up the drying of the newly laid liquid screed so I can lay the timber floors and fit the kitchen and appliances. Phew, got there! Any feedback much appreciated.

    You have to trust your REC on this one.
    Explain the situation to him/her and I’m sure the necessary paperwork (completion certificate. test record sheets) will be finalized ASAP once the installation is ready for it.

    Agree.
    It is permissible to issue a certificate without appliances installed.
