    Ahead of who?

Minamino needs games. Origi always plays cup games, and then I think we should be starting a stronger side so one of Salah/Mane/Firmino will play aswell. Who would he replace in the squad out of those attackers? And note we are playing away to Chelsea, not at home or playing a lower league team.

He has been at Liverpool for just over half a season, but he is still only 16. He could have another 2 seasons at u18 level yet. There is plenty time for him to play games. I think the way he is being handled this season is the right way. He is an academy player who is playing for the academy and gets minutes in the cups where possible. Keep his feet firmly planted on the ground and don't let him get too ahead of himself thinking he has 'made it'. There's a long way to go yet with him.

I think people forget he is 16 he is literally a child ,

No idea what the team will be tonight but I hope Minamino doesn't get through in with a totally make shift team ,
Id love to see him play as the 9 ( give Bobby a rest) with Mane and Salah either side,
Id also love to see Jones play in a full strength 11 ,

So hard to tell how good they are when its in a team with no rhythm and changes all over ,

Foster is really one of the great guys in football, I'd put Mata in that bracket too. I know there are lots including most of our squad but them too stand out for me.

Origi in his highly successful wide left role crossing into Minamino again tonight

Chelsea v Liverpool 1997 FA Cup 4th round on the red button right now. Stamford Bridge is a building site and the pitch looks like a League One/Two surface.

    Fowler just scored.

Really it should have been 4-0 by HT mins.

Just read the premier league are making plans to finish the season behind closed doors if large events are to be cancelled.

That would also mean no parade for Liverpool after (hopefully) they win the PL. After 30 years that would be a bit of a downer but so be it.

That's nearly 3 months away from now so wouldn't worry yet about it.

26th Jan 1986, Stamford Bridge. FA Cup 4th Round. On our way to doing the double.

    Chelsea 1 - 2 Liverpool (Rush, Lawrenson)

Same year, my favourite memory from Stamford Bridge; Dalglish wins the double. Actually a class goal, no matter what the occasion is.

I was at the Chelsea - West Ham match that Easter when Chelsea lost 4-0. We were over visiting relatives for a week, my first ever top level match.

Happy with that team. Should make a game of it.

Pretty happy with that team, great for Williams and Jones (the two players that have shown the most potential), getting a game with a lot of senior players around them especially Williams who is playing with the three other starters. And hopefully Origi is through the middle.

Yea def thought Virgil would get a much needed break

Happy with that, it’s a team that can win but also gives a badly needed rest to Trent, Salah and Firmino. If we rested VVD tonight, I’d be pessimistic of the result tbh.

Neco Williams alongside 3 starting defenders has me excited to see what he can do.

    Is kante injured?

    Is kante injured?

yup, adductor muscle at him again, not for the first time.

be out for another 3 weeks or so, picked it up V United.

Yea def thought Virgil would get a much needed break

He had a two week break only two and a half weeks ago. In a weeks time we could be out of the FA Cup and Champions League, go strong and keep this season going into late April and May by progressing in both. Plus centre backs barely do any hard running in comparison to the rest of the outfield players.
