Massive wake up call. A lot of toys being thrown out of the pram, and to be honest nobody is more guilty than I am.

Would be lying if I said that I didn't want to go the season unbeaten, or break records, or win multiple trophies as a bonus on top of the league title.

Winning 'only' a league title is now being considered as not good enough. Which is mental. Maybe a reality check is needed. At the start of the season, a league title was the dream for all Liverpool fans and it will happen. We are going to get what we wanted. But because we were winning every game, gluttony kicked in and we all wanted more and more. Break all the records, win all the trophies.

Chelsea game in the FA cup and Atletico game are massive now as we now all want to go win another trophy in addition to win that league title. That's the way the season has gone at this stage. I pray that Klopp sends out a stronger team in the cup. It's a trophy that we can win this season. 4 games to win it and can afford to rest players in the league for it and the CL. That said, if we lose the cup game but beat Atletico then I would take it. CL progression is critical at this point IMO. Liverpool have the ability. Go and prove to everyone that you are a great team and deserve to be considered one of the best teams after this season. 'only' win a league title and that conversation may end unless another league title is won.

This is what feels so strange about this season... that this uber-talented and hard-working team might "only" finish the season with a league title.

Yes, it's the league title we've been craving for 30 years, but given just how good this team are, in some ways it doesn't feel enough. Call it gluttony, but I want another trophy. Whether it's the FA Cup or CL, this squad deserves it. That's why I hope the boss takes the Chelsea game seriously. The first XI plays better when they've had a number of consecutive games, so with the finish line in sight, I hope they go all guns blazing for the next few weeks and see where it takes us. We need our form back asap.

What's different these days is nothing feels temporary. This squad, manager, sporting director and owners will keep the club in contention for years to come.

    It is quite bizarre.

They just got knocked out of the Europa League last 32 stage.

There best achievement this season was when Pepe got past VVD lol

what about Gnabry banging in 4 against Spurs & 2 against Chelsea?

    or having nice home kits.

    decent achievements tbf.

I see Stevie G is considering his future at Rangers after getting knocked out of the cup yesterday. Not going well for the next Liverpool manager in Scotland.

Anyway we're the unbearable ones, right?

Literally haven't seen Liverpool and unbearable in the name sentence anywhere on the internet or in real life but this thread.

Not rattled at all, just giving my opinion. Let me start by saying liverpool are amazing this season, as it's just February we'll need to wait to the end of the season to see exactly how good they are (I think a fair statement).

Klopp is a great manager, would have loved him to have replaced Wenger but he chose liverpool.

But the the league is weak, I see pool fans saying all the big teams are weak and poor but yet they won't admit it's a poor league. Also the carry on from Liverpool supporters is unbearable. Their self-appointed underdog/victim mentality is really causing them to act in a very Un gracious manner.

Fair enough. So it's about 200 - 1 in my experience now.

Orange and Quazzie are professional at what they do in here so I wouldn't count them in any relevant statistics.

Becoming more apparent by his comments and demeanour that he's not cut out for the pressures of management

I always found all this talk about records laughable for a club that hasn't won the league for 30 years. The league is all I want, to break that duck, feck everything else including the CL / FA cup which would only be a bonus imho.

This years premiership hasn't been exciting for the media so they have tried to fabricate a bit of excitement. Supposing liverpool were beaten by Bournemouth. Overnight, the media will bring City back into the "title race".

FWIW, I am considerably worried about Liverpools current form, their inability to keep clean sheets and create chances. Need Gomez, Milly and Hendo back asap.

I think we're being very thin-skinned about yesterday's defeat. No big deal, a weight off the shoulders. No. 19 on the way - these things happen.

We have already won 2 competitions this season.

Yep. Few if anyone thought we'd go the season undefeated. I'm sure the experts will come up with a theory on how to beat Liverpool. How? With great difficulty that's how. Play great against us and hope we not 100% and even then it's not a foregone conclusion as we've seen.
The league is almost here, I can't see them not closing it out from here . Weight off their shoulders losing to Watford

Ancelotti sees red for giving out to ref after the final whistle, he really wasnt a happy camper, touchline ban.

Anybody else notice Lovern when he looks for offsides and slows down to look over at the linesman and let’s his man run for a few seconds only to have to try and catch his man when the offside isn’t given. It annoys me so much, especially when VAR is in action, play to the whistle. When you look back at the third goal yesterday, he was on the ground complaining to the ref instead of getting up, he would of been able to cover deeney if he actually got up instead of throwing a fit.

One thing that I saw yesterday that I think is going to become more and more common is the targeting of Trent. There was a lot of hard tackles put in on him and he was getting pressed higher up the pitch so he couldn't advance as much as he'd like.

If you stop him playing then the whole right side attack seems to get shut down.

Deeney put in massive reducer on him late in the first half. I was actually surprised that there was no card for that one.

The last time Liverpool played that badly in the league was two and a half years ago against Spurs and after that defeat Liverpool only lost 4 games till yesterday.

Since the start of the 17/18 season till yesterday the team have lost only 7 games out of a 104 games.

Arsenal drew 12 games and dropped 24 points but were called invincible. We've dropped points twice so far. The whole invincible thing is bit or a joke, 38 draws would be invincible, not winning a single game would be invincible.

If it's the incident I'm thinking of, it was very late and very much a card. The studs into TAA's foot could have easily broken one or more of the metatarsal bones.

    Edit: this tackle:

They are up there with thanks accounts and pretending you can't speak English properly on your troll account

At least I am not an online bully, like many on here. You'd think in this day and age people would be more sensitive. The amount of hate and lies directed towards me on here is staggering.

You have to be careful on the internet in fairness. A lot of people pretending to be someone they are not. Plenty of predators use that tactic to trick kids.
