City haven't managed to string 4 wins together all season, they've managed 3 in a row only twice. For their remaining 11 games they still have to go to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, while facing Liverpool and Arsenal at the Etihad.

Lads what will Pool do in the summer transfer wise. Will they buy big/lose big players?

Interested to know as ye haven’t signed huge players under Klopp VVD maybe aside. What will Klopp do?- transfer wise.

Timo Werner is this week's news, all the reliable sources confirming activity there. As far as outgoings the only worrying contract situation is Wijnaldum, everyone else that matters is tied down and I'm not sure why any would want to leave enough to force their way out.

I feel somewhat responsible.....I should never have gone near that obviously cursed programme Jay Spearing on the cover.

My poor 7 year old is devastated....he kinda started following Liverpool properly after Christmas last year (basically when our run began) so he literally doesn't know how to handle a defeat.....he asked me do we still get points for losing :-)

Tell him the story of Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing, let him know just how well he has it :p

not gonna lie & pretend I'm not disappointed, I am, massively tbh & I'm rightly sickened.

but I think that says even more about what this team has achieved, what was once the norm is now so rare & just a complete shock system.

we've not been great lately no, but better this than a get out of jail like West Ham which would allow our coasting to continue to the Madrid game.

if a kick up the arse is needed then this was it.

I'm not worried & have every bit of belief in this group or players who have bounced back from losing a Europa League Final, a Champions League Final as well as losing out on the league on the last day of the season.

we'll bounce back again from this & we'll be fine.

very proud of this group of players, Up The Fcuking Reds!

    YNWA.

Salah is consistently poor in nearly every away game.
Very good West Ham away. The rest not done much. Even Salzburg he missed so many chances

This is not knee jerk he is so frustating to watch.

Sell Lovren, Origi, Lallana...(possibly shaqiri, wijnaldum)
    Buy Werner....
Hopefully another new midfielder or two...
    Cover for Robertson...
    Replacement for Lovren...

You sell Wijnaldum and I'm.coming after you. Keïta or Ox would be sold before him

Theres always a little bit of calmness in Matips play I think.
Theres always a little bit of when is the mistake leading to a goal in Lovren play.

    We really miss Hendo.

Lovren is VERY much 4th choice.

There's Van Dijk who's about a level or two above Gomez/Matip who are equally as good as one another, Gomez edging that right now.

Lovren however is a good 2 or 3 levels below them.

I said here about a week or two ago I'm happy with Lovren staying on if he's happy to be 4th choice & play cup games, etc... but when he's playing in games like this, ahead of Matip, I'm sorry but I can't back that.

if he goes, he goes, we won't be worse off.

I'm not saying I'm glad we lost, but the consolation I'm taking from it is that we can just forget about unbeaten records because that invincible talk was a pain in the hole. For a start, we'll have the title wrapped up soon enough and hopefully we can turn it around against Atletico so that we still have the Champions League to focus on and rest players in the league.

Actually thought Lovren was excellent in the first half, then their first goal, absolutely brutal from the Croatian.

Get Gomez back asap. Still though, somethings not quite right there at the moment. Salah in particular needs to step up now and prove to the world that he is the player he thinks he is. He has been awful the last few games, giving the ball away easily.

Lovren played poorly but the first goal is as much VVD fault,
Lovren takes Deeny out of play and the ball boun es over both VVD is asleep to it all, Then when the balls pull back Robbo is asleep

For the second goal as Deeny plays the pass VVD has his arms out to gesture the balls out of play and then can't react, VVD was miles off it today and is getting away with it

Poor all over the pitch. Lallana when he came on maybe the only one that wasn't below par.

No harm losing and getting a kick up the hole. Need to get the focus back for the Champions League game

Lovren positiong for the second goal was poor imo

    Lovren.

Nobody covered themselves in glory, but he just spreads panic wherever he goes.

After a couple of minutes he ducked madly under a routine long ball from Watford, and I knew it was going to be a tough afternoon.

It takes a lot to make Virg look jittery.

Virg has lost 5 games in the league while playing for us. Guess who his partner was for 4 of them

I mainly thought of Wijnaldum because of his age. The way Liverpool play in that high energy fashion could catch up on him sooner rather than later. Isn't there contract issues there also?
Understand where you're coming from regarding Ox and Keita.
Keita I'm losing patience with, and Ox really needs to up his consistency.

If Liverpool win there next 3 will a draw be good enough at City to win it?

Yeah but I don't see us winning the 3, I think we'll draw against Everton

    Ye possibl
y but at the same time when the throw was takem Deeny his man and Lovren made sure he didn't get the ball, VVD was free behind him and fell a sleep and allowed the cross that then Robbo fell asleep for ,

City have United away and Chelsea at home in that time so they could drop a couple of points
