hey guys how easy is it to obtain court footage from the US of certain individuals for example if i was to go looking for court footage of serial killer Richard Remirez where could i apply for the court footage?

By "court footage" you mean footage of the trial? Ramirez was tried in California in 1988. The first thing you need to find out is whether California trials were filmed or broadcast on television in 1988.

If they were, then probably the California court system would hold the archived footage, and you'd need to approach them to find out on what terms they release footage and licence its use. They are certainly going to want to know what you want the footage for.
