    Using similar maths, 1500 a month paid in HAP payments over a year is 18,000 euro. 18,000 * 1000 (for 1000 families) is 18 Million a year, spent on the Housing assistant program a year. Remember when they used to say rent was dead money? Well thats what the council is doing, paying dead money on other peoples rent.
