Defamation?

K. I go to the same pharmacist everyday. Sometimes I am in there and I might meet this guy, I know him but we r not best friends.

I hear a couple of days ago that this guy I know was caught stealing perfumes and aftershave. I had zero knowledge of this (The stealing)
So I find out that the owner said to this guy and possibly others , that I am not a good friend you the robber! And that I could have put him
up to this 😡🀬😡 I never in my life stole as much as a can of Coke.

Tell me, have I a cace here it's got to be derogatory?
