Nominative determinism is the hypothesis that people tend to gravitate towards areas of work that fit their names - for example:

The man who wrote about clerical sex abuse in Germany - Roger Boyes
Johnny Flood - Water Pumps
Former "Food for the Poor" president - Robin Mahfood
Kildare councillor - Rob Power
