Do they actually have a Bible?
The woman just knows me and we make a bit of chit chat, I never bring ID but then again I'm around these parts since the year dot.
I just came down from my bedroom, I'm doing a massive cull of clothes for the clothes bank. I'm bring ruthless. My wardrobe will be bare but it's an insensitive to go out and get myself stuff that's a better fit or more appropriate.

Yeah but in fairness I never got a polling card, I forgot my id and I’ve recently changed address so am at a different station! She said sometimes they have bibles on hand for such eventualities, who knew :pac:
Vino now after my days work ;)

Do they have to cater for different religious beliefs.

What if I was a follower of Jedi-mastery?

Couch side at home, election show on the telly, wind howling outside.

Went out and voted at my local polling station earlier today - for the very first time ever, I gave the Shinners my No. 2 preference. This country badly needs a change from the FG/FF same old same old.

Sitting here pondering , sometimes it's good , other times not . Has anyone heard anything from Guy lately or have I just missed seeing his posts ?

I did the same....first time ever giving sinn fein a vote....really struggled with my conscience marking the ballot paper but feel a change is needed.........

I went voting too and was left with an almost empty sheet.

I think theres a need for change way beyond the options wr have.

No votes for SF. Two reasons, Det McCabe, plus would be like a Turkey voting for Christmas.

Cosy in bed listening to the wind howl against the front of the house.

Anyone know what happened to the Keelin Shanley RIP thread? Seems to have disappeared.

I think it's merged with the RIP thread in Television (General) , Poochie .

    Stay safe btw :)

Still at a bit of a loss as to why Srameen abruptly closed his account? I always imagined he was a genuine poster, who could be a bit sarky at times. Was anything said on the forum?

Sad to hear about Keelin Shanley. I always liked her on RTE. :( Only 51 and so very young - and leaving behind a husband and children.

plenty was said in the forum  .....we will be lucky if srameen would even consider coming back now.

I was a bit shocked as some of the comments on boards.ie seemed very two faced.

Always thought he was a genuine poster and liked his posts.
He got called a liar in the what age will i retire by a poster who subsequently closed his account. Scrameen probably thought life is too short to be dealing this and closed his account.
Bedside, still surprised by the exit poll

Just read the last 20 pages on the Srameen disappearance thread. Nobody appears to have stopped to think that he might be a 76 year old man that needed to communicate through boards.

Reminds me of Grace7 who I believe is still banned from this thread after one year.

    Anyway, hotel, bed, sleep.

I think there is a bit of a rule on boards that a poster who is no longer here to defend themselves isn't really to be discussed...or dismantled...
and it's one I agree with..... anyways!
What a morning.... think my bins are circling international airspace ,so keep an eye out for 'em smurfjed

Quick edit..was reading thru that thread...and shoes is banned too?!

    I haven’t been on in a while.
Sorry about Srameen - I liked him. I did not realise there were other casualties too..

    Safe day out there folks.

On Boards catchup ... sending Grem (very) belated birthday greetings.

Awake too early ... my poor old house is creaking with the wind and pet pooch is gone undercover.
A morning of laziness awaits followed by lunch with sister no.6.
In my tipsy state last night, I let the cat out of the bag re my voting order of preference. When my Dad finds out that I didn't vote for "his man" he is going to kill me ... I remember the first time I was voting many moons ago, he stopped the car en route to the polling station and chucked me out when I said I wasn't voting FF!!! Of course, the rest of the gang "play the game" and SAY they are voting for Mr. Ridiculous. I think I'm going to have to start whistling innocently when politics is being discussed!

Wishing all you lovely Wherers a great Sunday!

Honeybear.... Sister no. 6??! Wow. A houseful of women

I'm sitting on the couch, me & the dog covered by a blankie, there's no way I'm going out in that weather just yet!

Thinking about all these people voting Sinn Fein.....pretty sure no-one would actually enjoy a country run by this shower, wouldn't last long anyway.
    Short memories in Ireland.

Having my tea and toast and watching TV.
I enjoyed Srameen posts, but some reading on his history makes it seem he was a lot more controversial than I would have thought.
Sad to see anyone go or get banned but that's for the mods.
My day will consist of a morning relax, then mass and unless it's cancelled, Longford v Leitrim match in the afternoon.
Home then for a late lunch/early dinner and see how the election results are going.
My Mrs says I'm just so predictable.

I've an urge to go out walking in that storm. Even just around the block for 5 mins. I love the wind blowing around you, through you, even against your breath.

    Makes me feel so alive.

No idea but there was a lot of uncalled stuff just out to kick the poster. But some decent posts too. A lot was deleted afaik and rightly so imo.
