I wonder will it eventually be called RFK bridge or just New Ross bypass. Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy bridge seems too much of a mouthful...

I don't think I've ever heard the M1 Boyne bridge bypassing Drogheda referred to its official name Mary McAleese bridge.

The Barrow Bridge, or my preference The Pink Rock bridge.

Found this on the Examiner website....not much coverage otherwise

    https://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/irelands-longest-bridge-opens-after-25-million-hours-of-work-978548.html

....I suppose it's all water under the bridge now... :) [Coat]

Wonder when Google Maps will be updated with the bridge as an option.

Openstreetmap has it already on the detailed level - but not on the wide view level yet.

RFK to many means Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy and not his ma who had no connections with New Ross in the first place.

Was just thinking the same thing.

Noticed her taking up 2 lanes on the N25/N30 roundabout, then hogging the overtaking lane all the way up to the bridge.

    Anyway...back on topic.

What a view from up there! Can't wait to get down and drive it myself.

Pity she focussed her GoPro on the river when she finally got to the bridge !!

Just crossed it twice. Traveled the whole new road, it so quick from Glenmore to Corcoran's cross.

Roughly how much time will it chop off a journey from Gorey to Cork?

Just travelled New road from Corcorans cross to R733 exit. Cool road with some nice scenery.
Plus 5 mins quicker from Wicklow to Campile than N11/Wellingtonbridge Route.
