Lightning in Galway city, a good distance away, as the thunder came about 60+ seconds after, but a good blast all the same.

I had a look outside, no further accumulations since i went to bed at 1 am.
Hopefully we get a heavy shower or two of snow before it all turns back to rain and sleet later.

I'm in the west and they aren't even reaching here! Upper and lower wind speeds, as well as poor troughing, are not really strong enough to drive those showers that far inland, but maybe as Donegal Storm showed, perhaps an approaching trough might add more pep to the flow overnight.

Didn’t even make it to south mayo !
I’m about 15 miles from Claremorris and we only got an hour or two of snow yday afternoon
    None of the heavier stuff
About to hit the road to athenry now so I won’t complain !

Knock down to 9 cm of lying snow at 7 am.

Heavy rain showers near Castlebar now. There was snow on N5 between Ballaghaderreen and Charlestown yesterday eve about 5.30pm but no further accumulations here overnight. Reckon you should be sound.

I'd say it was sleety showers all night in cork city, hampering any Frost forming even sadly. Chilly though.

Edit: bit of black ice around and the car is infact, Frozen, it's just clearish frost

Normally when we get this up here, you guys get a blast of cold down there.

I live in Rovaniemi, Finland now.

Forgot to mention. We only had one day of it that cold, -11c today which is about right. If we get a week of cold weather, you guys are sure to have some white stuff! I think Feb should be interesting......

Snow falling again here in South Sligo - there was a slight thaw earlier but the feilds are still white - I don't think it will last too much longer.

That's a class photo. Hopefully the east coast gets its share next week.

Snow shower now in Mountmellick. Nothing substantial as yet. But we usually get lucky as a result of lying at the end of the Slieve Blooms range.

Frozen snow/graupel on cars. The barest of a dusting on tar. But in reality no snow here. Just a shower last night. But washed away by rain. Slieve Bloom nicely covered though ón North East end anyway.
