Op I think you need a blog..

And a dose of man up and drive on until the car isn't worth fixing anymore.

Most people have driven longer in rougher cars and didn't need to take a half day off work.

Do you think my car's shock absorbers are going out, because I can feel every vibration, especially potholes and humps on the road.

    You're trying to find problems!!

When shocks go you bounce along as the tyre is not held with contact on road.

Feeling every bump over inflated tyres or tyres gone hard/old.

I usually put 35psi on all tyres, cause I am trying to increase fuel efficiency, I check tyre pressure each week, you're probably right that it's over inflated.

Try 30 psi all round,as too much air also reduces base of tyre contacting the road surface.

What size wheels have you got. I think
30 is too low for a fiesta.

    195/60R15 that's the standard size I think

I put the psi down to 30 this morning on my way to work, at Spawell petrol station. I am not quite sure but I feel a bit of difference, I feel the vibration and humps but not as strong as firm, a little bit smoother but that was early in the morning and maybe It was just in my head, i will observe it for a week.

Less chance of losing your false teeth with softer tyres and maybe a bit more grip on icy roads due to the frosts.

I have read around the forum and i gather that ford fiesta 1.25 engine comes in 60bhp and 82bhp. How will I know?

It’s 82 if it’s a mk6, 60bhp is only in the newer shape as far as I know

    Is mine mk6 or mk5 i don't get it?

Yours is a mk6, the mk7 came out in 2009 and was replaced around 2 years ago

When I searched mk5 and mk6 they look exactly the same.

When I bought parts from a particular car shop they asked me for the reg number and they said mk5.

Actually, the current one is the mk7, yours is a mk5 then

My car looks like the one in the picture but silver coloured.

    Your car is a Mk6.... (5th generation)

Some sites list them as a Mk5 as the actual Mk5 (99-02 shape) was just a facelifted Mk4.

    Current Fiesta is a Mk8.

Yours should have about 72ish BHP if I remember correct, the newer ones had the same engine but were 60 or 80 BHP.

There is no real consensus over which is which, because some people decided the '99 facelift was the "Mark V" and others did not. I refuse to acknowledge a car with a nose job and some new bits of plastic is anything more than another Mk. IV.

This press release from Ford says the 2002-2008 model is the "Mark V", for example: https://web.archive.org/web/20080930120005/http://media.ford.com/pdf/Fiesta_30th_EN.pdf

OP, your playing with the tyre pressure on your Fiesta to try and improve it's fuel economy yet here you are now thinking of changing it for a 16 year old 2.0 litre petrol BMW?

I'm starting to think your intentionally taking the piss with these threads.

Just wondering will this fit in my ford fiesta headlights

    NIGHTEYE 72W 9000LM H4 LED Car Headlight Bulbs https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073WJFHCT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6KElEb343TVNP

Possibly not as i think ford bulbs are H7 2 pin single use and the H4 3 pin dip and main beam.
If you put headlights on and main beam do you get 2 strong lights meaning 2 bulbs lit and not talking about little side light bulb.

My current one are h4 bulbs and with 3 pins, but it's alright I changed my mind about the LED Lights.

Ahh one of the few that had the H4 bulbs then they are swappable, many types of upgrades out there if needed.

    Hi guys,

This morning I can hear a slight grinding noise when I brake, I don't know if it's the front disc or the rear drum brakes.

The front disc brakes are almost 1 year since installed

If you got discs and pads done a year ago they should be ok but best to check all brakes.
