    And you have a very narrow view as to what socialism is.
    Socialism can refer to different things such as an economic system, a type of society, a philosophical outlook, a collection of moral values and ideals, or even a certain kind of human character.

    Not socialism

    I would consider Joe Higgins to be a socialist, he may live in a private house however

    All the talk of Murphy, Boyd-Barrett, or O’Broin being “champagne socialists” is nonsense.

    The three best “examples” I can think of would be President Higgins, Pat Rabbitte and Joan Burton.

    Although, I’d class them as “champagne, and smoked salmon, socialists”. A whole “cut” above the rest.

    Joan Burton doesnt fit the profile , making tough decisions in a time of crisis isnt a champagne socialists style.
