Requesting a copy of your PULSE file

I was wondering how I would go about requesting a copy of my pulse file.
I have never been involved in criminal activity in this country or any other for that matter, but after hearing about a recent case that collapsed because it was discovered that this particular individual had false information placed on his file. He literally had a criminal record even though he had never committed those crimes.
I refuse to believe this is an isolated case and other people should believe the same.
So to put my mind at rest I was wondering would I be opening a can of worms by making an official request to view any information that might be held on this system.
