Things of past decades that would never be allowed today

Just to get started....

Kids holding onto the back of cars on their skates.... I use to see this all the time in the estates as a kid in he late 80's, early 90's, even on main roads.

Going to the tax office and buying a provisional licence and driving off in your car without the foggiest idea how to drive. Completely legal and acceptable.

I remember the Zoo back in the late 80's use to sell Helium filled balloons to kids with these little crystal things inside them. I think they were designed to weigh down the balloon to keep the balloon from floating away on you. The balloons exploded as we played with them in our garden and the crystals inside the balloon shot out and bloodied our legs. You wouldn't see that sort of stuff today lol.
