Hi, I am just wondering if any of you could give me an insight with regards to this matter.
In 2011 I was caught in one of the shops for shoplifting with a value of less than a 100eu. I have never offended the law and would never ever want be in that situation again. I was given an Adult Caution and was told that if I re offend again the Gardai are going to raise that previous matter against me. I am a foreign national who had been working here as a Nurse in Ireland. My question now is this, "Do you think I have a shot at applying for an Irish Citizenship? Would the minister take that against me for offending the law of Ireland in 2011, I know it is coming to 2020 now and nevertheless I still did something wrong in the past. I hope I could get great answers from people in th community. I hope there are solicitors or Guards that can read this so they can shed a light on my case.

Should be ok. I don't know how citizenship works but I assume it goes on convictions if any. An adult caution is not a conviction
