Thanks. Pretoria's were a deal breaker for me and LSG was my favourite colour. It's in amazing condition, I'm happy out

Really smart. Swap the plates for some nice clean pressed ones and it will finish it nicely.

Little Xmas present to myself. 320d Auto M Sport with only 161k kms and receipt for chain done last year by main dealer. ****ty camera phone doesn't do it justice but will be still getting a paint correction after the new year.

^ 2008 pre facelift, cheap tax, M47 in auto....

You must have been looking for a while for that combo! Excellent choice!

My 330 still looking more or less the same as the day I bought it, still collecting the parts to facelift it, maybe summertime.

Actually the N47 but as I mentioned there's receipts as well as me getting confirmation from BMW before buying that the chain was done to the tune of nearly €2k by a previous owner. Its defiantly a well looked after car, leather seats are tip top as well.

177bhp engine, automatic and the chain were main things I wanted. Just got lucky with it being an M Sport with HIDs and heated seats. Pity it lacks lumbar support.

You would be hard pressed to find lumbar support standard on any BMW outside of the 6, 7 and 8 Series. Why give it away when you can charge for it.

I sorely (literally) miss it in my E60. Stingy fcukers

Other than the lack of a sunroof, the lack of lumbar support is the worst thing about my E46.

The feckers still make you pay extra if you want it even if you get a top of the range M340i.

+1 here. I searched for ages for my perfect E92. It had *everything* I wanted.... Except a sunroof.

One from a morning spin I went on yesterday. This car is amazing on wet Irish roads.

Well wear Hooch. Did you consider an M135i at all?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,903 ✭✭✭hooch-85

I did and no doubt they are a great car but having had 4 Golfs now, it's safe to say I'm a bit of a fanboy. The 4wd is more suited to our climate too.

Was sick all over Christmas so the Golf was parked up since then. Got out in it this evening. It is fairly dirty at the minute as had planned on washing it before Christmas but never got too. Whenever I don't drive it for a few days it always gives me a new appreciation for it. It really is a lovely car to drive it is not mad quick but has a level of power which makes it effortless to pull away and accelerate to a cruising speed. I have criticised it on here for different things but at the core of it all it is an impressive car and good all rounder which I feel lucky to own especially as there isn't that many Mk7.5 ones going around.

Nice day to take the Fiesta for a spin up the Wicklow mountains. You never really notice how bumpy the roads are until you take a car up with 35 year old suspension.

Ali Express. They were dirt cheap and do the job fine. I got those, LED bulb kit (interior, number plates etc), gearknob (which is surprisingly good quality) for €40. delivered in 2 weeks

What are the pressed plates from eireplates like? The samples on their website look a bit off. Are the actual plates nicer?

I think I passed by this on the Naas Dual Carriageway earlier. It looks great in the flesh, nice and high off the ground too!
