PAYE + PRSI not paid by employer?

    Hi,

    I've just employed by a company which I'm working between 20-30 hours a week. I'm also a sole-trader.

The first payroll came with USC paid but PAYE & PRSI are equal to 0.

    Does it make sense?

    Thanks

Your Tax Credits may be such that they exceed tax due so could be nil.
PRSI is only payable by the employee where pay exceeds €352 pw.
So you could have nil tax and nil PRSI.
It depends on what the pay amount is and what your RPN ( Revenue Payroll Notification) says.
