Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fanta fell prey to the reformulation due to the sugar tax.

It is now just 4.5% sugar to fall under the lower rate of tax, so if you have not had it in a while you might not like it.

    Club orange is 13%

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,572 ✭✭✭JeffKenna

Suppose that hardly includes Fanta zero?

Definitely not a national offer, it would be specific to this store only.

Not great at all. I wouldn’t bother if I were you. Sounds not great volume can’t be changed. They look good but that’s about it.

It really does seem to be in or around 30 euro a bottle normally.

I've bought it "on special" in there before at 25. Only cos I was stuck, but it's great value at 15

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,146 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

My local Supervalu must have gotten a pallet of the half price wine in. I picked up 2 bottles and there were still about a dozen cases left.

So I'm trusting that ye guys and 'Chateauneuf De Pape Remy Ferbras' don't let me down :)

    I'm looking at you kid:

Got the max of 6 bottles that the quota allows. +10 Euros off any 6 bottles of wine + the weekly 8 euro off, if you spend 40 or more.

Worked out at 12 Euros a bottle.

We opened one last night, just to be sure. Was not disappointed.

    Great Deal.

heineken & guinness really does seem to be 2.15 a can normally, but no way I would pay that!

Many grocery items reduce to half price quite frequently -a clear sign that you would be mad to pay full price.

Some still hang onto being high price while they could easily slash their price in half and still be highly profitable. e.g. grey goose vodka is currently 57 euro for 700ml in tesco!

    bulmers is the perfect example
bulmers are interesting as they start out as cheap swill, had a very bad name from people knacker traveller drinking it in flagons. I remember when the flagons became less common, you had to ask for them in many offies. They jacked up the price to give this fake notion of it being "premium", so they can well afford to slash prices. Many would not remember its old pricing or reputation.

I giggle at their advertising "Made from 17 varieties of Irish apples", imagine McDonalds coming out and saying "every burger contains the remnants of 17 different breeds of cow", or some dodgy sausage maker saying its from 17 different species of animal.

Sounds like they are getting scraps of rotting apples from any place they can manage.

It is indeed- last week I wet up to the counter and just asked for one which they gave on the spot.
I then went and grabbed the bottles of wine and used the card- all good

Not digital but neither is my Philips one.
If given the choice I would take a manual before a digital. I reckon in general they should last longer, and if something did break I could have a stab at fixing the manual one myself as it will be basic electrics. I do not like having to program stuff either, much perfer a dial microwave etc.

I would take the airfryer before a halogen. It says 17L in the text and 12L on the box. The video shows how much counterspace it would take up.
