Like not touching strangers without permission?

Clearly Emu should have been locked up for this...

What on earth are you talking about, that std's need to be transferred for it to be a sexual assault.

Look up the definition of sexual assault, and stop posting rubbish

But I would have thought there is a different connotation between molesting or groping a breast or a women's vagina etc., as opposed to slapping someone on the cheeks of their backside?

Is that even a sexual thing? Granted it happens sometimes during sexual intercourse, but I don't see how a quick slap on someone's backside/arse could be taken up as being sexually motivated?

You said raped earlier, now you're back tracking and haven't quoted any posts where rape was mentioned. Your arguments can't be taken seriously when you lie about what was stated in the thread and when you put a slap on the arse in the same category as rape. It completely diminishes rape when you put those two things on a par.

Oh how I laugh at you being totally wrong.

Page 7 of this thread - look it up.

Female poster says " I was raped"

So everything that you have written here is total bollocks

Who are the few that said that?

    Here’s one example:

There is a distinct difference in playfully slapping a reporters arse whilst running a marathon for the craic, than for example molesting a reporters arse in a nightclub or deliberately assaulting her.

This entire item is garbage. It is really sad to see some posters even on this thread jumping on the "men are evil, this is an assault" angle, really sad.

If she was a decent journalist she could have turned this around and made a laugh out of it, instead it goes viral for all the wrong reasons.

It won't stop me slapping anyone's arse in the future either.

Threeball Do you want to admit tht you are wrong for calling me a liar?

I don't know how lazy you have to be - to not even read the thread, before calling some one a liar to suit your own agenda.

It is on Page 7 , everyone! A woman says that she was raped. Do you see it threeball? So calling me a liar was wrong, yes.

    Very strange!

Why didn't you even read the thread , before calling me a liar.

Though the joy of being right, and YOU being the liar, is nice.

God, I feel dirty for liking that post, but I think it's the way things are going. When people say sexual assault now pretty much everybody is thinking 'Well, did he touch your hand or something?'

It just shows how ludicrous the arguments are getting. For the last few year there has been a heavy man hating agenda across most media outlets and its spiralled out of control.

A fella literally has to second guess interacting with a lost child in a supermarket for fear of being branded. This guy is tarnished for sexual assault yet at least 50 women across Ireland will do the same or worse tonight. Yes the Harvey Weinsteins of this world deserve locking up. This guy isn't even in the same stratosphere

"I should not be taken seriously from this point onwards"

Because the post I quoted showed that you are unable to have a rational conversation because you blame men to be the reason you feel pain in your life.

So a topic like this will result in emotional outbursts rather than logical discussion

And the reason I am speaking to you directly is because not all past victims have become as (somewhat understandably) bitter as you.

That guy is a tool for slapping her arse and she has a right to be annoyed. But pressing charges and he's now up for sexual battery? Jesus, that's madness. I've had my arse slapped and grabbed countless times, annoying and disrespectful sure but sexual battery it isn't.

Funny you didnt mention that Alecto was responding to your assumption that she didn't know that rape and sexual assault stick with people.

You made it sound like her experiences somehow backed up your feelings rather than completely contradicted them.

You see that he lied, right?

Oh right, so you are saying that YOU get to decide whether I talk or not. That is incredibly arrogant.

    No you don't.

Threeball Isn't is amazing that I could be called a liar for saying that another woman on this thread - said that she was raped.

I don't know how lazy you have to be - to not even read the thread, before calling some one a liar to suit your own agenda.

Again,. She did say she was raped. She also inferred people like you who think mentioning rape in a conversation about getting your arse slapped are hysterical.

So yes, someone else said they were raped, only to refute your claim that they would feel like you do if it happened to them.

Bizarre you are feeling joy from pointing out that someone said they were raped.

As I said, you can't be taken seriously.

It would be. If I had said that.

I said you can't be taken seriously. Because you come out with irrational and emotional outbursts like this.

I don't think Harvey Weinstein raped anybody :o I think they had sex with him to get ahead

Try to get that into your head

What makes me really sad and angry.

My life as a woman has not been good. I have not been respected.

The absolute and biggest pain in my life has come from men sexually harassing me and sexually assaulting me. It causes so much pain. It causes so much mental pain long after the act is over. I attempted suicide after a sexual assault. Look at all the women on this thread alone who said they have been raped.

I can't get those years of my life back, and I am angry about that. All that suffering.

I hope that men will one day be ashamed for wht they put women through in this generation.

Ok I missed one post where a girl said she was raped. My mistake. Now your turn to be honest and retract your statement about looking at "all the women on this thread alone who said they were raped"

I'm sorry you are hurt and mentally traumatised.

    You are obviously unwell.

Blaming all men is ridiculous and you should not be taken seriously from this point onwards.

If you had been assaulted by black men, would it be acceptable to hope that all blacks are ashamed for what they put you through?

You are allowed to generalise if you want. You just should not expect to be listened to.

Your personal experiences are terrible. I wouldn't wish them on anyone.

The fact that you can't see that there are a lot of men that should be applauded for everything they have contributed to society and for the betterment of a life you lead, is testament to your tunnel vision mentality.

I will never be ashamed for other peoples actions. I will of course feel empathy for victims, but when they are already too far down the rabbit hole and think of me as a part of the problem due to the fact that I have similar genitals to people who hurt them, I can't help my sympathy turn to pity.

She's obviously unwell? Are you a doctor

You said she was unwell and shouldn't be taken seriously. Read your own posts. Same way i was told to go to a psychiatrist earlier , not by you. But funny when you disagree you must have someone wrong with you

Dont bother. I read back and the person she quoted as having been raped had actually argued strongly against her saying sexual assault charges in this case were madness.

    Cool.

What has that got to do with me trying to tell her when to speak or trying to exert power?

    Ironicname are you serious.

You said to me "nothing you said should be taken seriously"

Do you see that is incredibly arrogant, dismissive and offensive?

You said to me "nothing you said should be taken seriously"

And I stand by that. How is that silencing you? As much as I wouldn't dare tell you what to do, you have no power to compel me to take you seriously, especially when taking into account some of your frankly ridiculous posts.
Do you see that is incredibly arrogant, dismissive and offensive?

Yes. I can see why YOU would think that way.

But you also think that men should apologize for what they did to this generations women.

    So, ya know...

I'm not too sure there is anything I could say to you without you finding it offensive in some way.

Especially because I am a man.

    Do you feel emotionally assaulted?

Edit: The sad thing is I was entirely on the reporters side before her awful reaction.

But surely if you were sexually assaulted you could be at risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease ?

Ah no. This is ridiculous. This looks like scraping the bottom of the barrel. It looks like you're having a different discussion to the rest of us.

If you have a problem with the law, then take it up with the law. As it stands you don't need to be in danger of contracting an STI to commit a sexual assault. That's just the way it is.

    What power is it exerting?

sexual battery sounds far too harsh, a simple 3 night jail sentence would be more appropriate for such a small offence.
