Colly many people keep house cats that are trained to poo in a tray on the floor.
You can have a cat in apartment if you have that and scratching post.
The thing is you can’t train a cat to be an indoor cat. Some cats are grand being indoors, other cats instinctively want to be outside even if they never were as kittens. We intended for our two cars to be indoor cats cos it’s just safer, but as they grew and we saw how much they wanted to be outside we knew we had to let them, it felt unfair to keep them in. They still spend most of their time inside and always inside overnight but they love having the freedom to go off on their adventures during the day 0 -
